I've been wearing glasses consistently for 20 years but the frames were not conducive to pool, so I got a pair of these from Curran 5 years ago.
Interestingly I don't wear them or any glasses/contacts while playing anymore. While a prescription definitely sharpened my vision, improving my mechanics made the biggest improvement in my game. It's more about feel and consistency. I can see and aim just fine without them.
Upgrading my table lighting helped my vision tremendously however. No more dark corner pockets.
