Where are all the CF butts?

I think the good wood has all been snapped up, no?

Patience seems gone too these days, and not just in this scenario.

I'm guessing carbon cost at the manufacturer level must be near equal to appropriate quality wood and the time to turnover is far quicker.

Add that to the fact that carbon can be tuned to practically infinite specs, shiiiit. I think we see where we are going.

Like bicycles, unless you go boutique you're only going to get carbon frames, forks, wheels, bars, seatpost and seat rails.

I think we see where we are going and I play primarily with wood and guess I prefer it

P.S. just between the two of us, keep an eye out for Paul dayton shafts. I have a couple and they are top notch. He isn't a major name in the game but his shit was real good. RIP
Yeah that’s kinda what I was referring to, not new wood shafts, as I think your supposition of all the good wood being gone is correct, or at least most of it.

I was more referring to those that own old Scruggs, Tascarellas, etc. that for whatever reason have set aside those good old growth wood shafts to mount and use CF and other aftermarket LD shafts on those fabulous old cues.

Yeahhhh, you’re right about Paul Daytons stuff as well. I have a friend that has one of his cues and several of what this friend says Paul called “Lakewood shafts” that came with his cue. Old wood that had been salvaged from old growth trees lost during transport in lakes or other waterways in transport way back in the earlier days of this country, those shafts he has play AMAZING, but he won’t part with them. You never seemingly see them or much of Paul’s work come up for sale, there’s good reason for that.

Energy transfer from cuetip to whiteball

I think 'Your' knowledge of the speed it takes to create certain effects to the CB/shots in 3C is 'Extremely' limited!

In fact, just from Your last sentence, 'Non-Existent'!

JMPO!
You are probably most definitely correct, I never played 3C and it is beyond boring to watch. But it still boils down to tip speed and placement, cant hit the cue ball soft and make it go fast, cant hit the cue ball hard and make it go slow. If you think otherwise feel free to show examples that prove otherwise.

Figured BEM handle, on a Players PureX pool cue. Real, or Fake / Decal / Graphic Overlay?

Shit, I'm pretty disappointed in this lot.

Lemme sweeten the deal: I'll pay $22 to ensure chopdoc earns supplemental meaning.

OK. (y)

If this happens I will cut it up and make Christmas ornaments out of it. My wife is a crafter, my daughter is an artist, and I do leather work. My house could compete with Hobby Lobby for supplies. Daughter's work: LINK Videos: LINK 2

We have glitter, glue, paint, yarn, ribbon, leather....you name it, and I have tools.

I will give the first 10 people to kick in $20 to @vintagecollectibles831 a Christmas ornament shipped by December 9th. What is December 9th? A very important day for cue lovers. (first one already goes to Black-Balled)

That's 10 Christmas ornaments made from whatever this thing is made of. And $200 for him.

What could go wrong? How could he lose? He even gets to keep the shaft. That's a $200 shaft.

Am I crazy? Yup. :ROFLMAO: ;)

Oh. And I will make another one for @Sev because he's my Cowboy Cupcake. 🤪

Now, let's see what happens....:rolleyes:

Where are all the CF butts?

What I want to know is where are all the wood shafts in 5/16 x14 from quality cue makers that all you guys don’t use anymore since you shifted to CF after your dose of Kool Aid?

If any of you are of a mind to sell these quality wood shafts you no longer use, DM me with what you have. Thank you
