This is probably one of the key shots in pool because it comes up in nearly every rack and additionally it is one of the hardest positional shots to master properly with all different angle, speed, draw, english and table condition combinations. As stated above, I agree that you should check your mechanics with an instructor or post a video of your stroke for flaws and inconsistencies.

I am really surprised people use Silicone spray on a pool table or pool balls. It is very oily, it gets on everything (hands, cue, tip, cloths, etc), and it doesn’t clean off easily.
