Anyone wanting ferrule, collar and or ring work on shaft, I will replace or add anything you want and will never cut any of your original maple shaft. I am a retired machinist of 45 years.Having a controlled climate is a must when dealing with wood.
I'm use to cutting metal within .0001 of a thousandth. Wood expands more than that depending on the climate.
