We are trying something new here at AZB. Master Instructor Fran Crimi has graciously agreed to review brief videos of you playing pool and will offer her hints on how you can improve your game.

We need three or four test videos to see exactly how this will work and to determine what we need you to include in future videos for maximum effectiveness. So some of you folks please take some video, about three to five minutes worth, of yourselves playing pool. Take some time with this and give us angles that show your stroke from all angles, show us your bridging, let us see your stance, etc. Try talking to the camera as you shoot like: "Here I am trying to make the two in the corner and I am putting 4 o:clock on the cue ball to draw back off the side rail near the second diamond and come over here by this side pocket to land in this area." Then do the shot.

Post the videos on You Tube and then link them to the forums video page (see the address bar at the top of the main forum page) and then Fran will be able to study them and offer you (and everyone) her suggestions. If this works we may just be on to something here.

New idea or not, what a great opportunity for some lucky people to get a free analysis from a very highly respected instructor. Not many people even have the chance to get lessons. Let alone with someone like Ms. Crimi. Hope this idea get's some steam behind it. Best of luck.
 
very cool, will hopefully try this out tomorrow but wouldn't be able to be that descriptive in what I want to do with the whitey!

ive have been telling my wife i needed someone to do this for me. im at a point where im stuck on my game and have no one to analize my game. im new to the area and am only a sl3 in apa. i cane beat the 5-6's but cant beat the 3-4's. ill go make a video today and link it up

got stiches in the palm my bridge hand and havent been able to shoot!! will make video as soon as i can resume to my typical play

I would love to participate in this. One problem. I have driven myself to madness trying to figure out how to send a video to the 14:1 forum. I never thought of going through youtube. I'll try that. Is there such a thing as a set of instructions for doing things like this? Real simple instructions?

Just a little background on Fran:

Fran Crimi is one of only a few BCA Master Instructors. She is a former WPBA touring pro player, as well as a former WPBA president. She is based out of NYC. I've known Fran personally for years and can tell you that she is a proven teacher and knows how to play the game at a high level too. IMO, that is the epitome of what you want in a coach.

She also posts on the Billiards Digest forum.

took some videos on my phone but the quality is absolutely horrendous. will try to find a camera i can borrow..
 
good to see someone finally post a video. If my USB ports worked, I would send one in. People should be jumping on this offer! I see a few things going on and I'm sure you will get some advice that will help
 
Fran is working on the vids that have been posted. She asked that future video submissions be sent to me via PM and I will forward them to her.

Man, If I only had my memory card with me :mad: I'm at work right now and I have like 4 hrs of video of me shooting on it.

Hopefully the offer is still open and I'll get one posted tomorrow
