SBE 2009 Pics and Trip Report

Great story..

Thats a great story about the Black Boars :)

Just wanted to let you know that I used one of your pics on our website, I hope you don't mind... I placed your logo in the photo and made it link to your site, so I hope that's OK... If you want me to remove it, just let me know and I will remove asap... If it is OK, I may like to use more - and provide credit in the same way of course...

You can check it out here:

Thanks! Glad you (and everyone else) had a good time at the show, your stories and one-liners are great to hear...

Damm squish you coulda posted a picture where i didnt look crazy! (btw i just got raised so im an sl4 now, booooo!!!)

another line we heard involving the Anvil that night was when we told him that we might be streaming these silly little matches that nite:

Anvil: Streaming? I love being on tv!
Jimboarmy member: Yeah? I bet you love it more now that the word "COPS" isnt scrolling underneath

oh we can't wait till next year!

You don't look crazy. You just look like a happy Monkey.

I forgot about the COPS line. Hilarious.

Just as funny was Jimbo betting on The Anvil as a gag and ending up winning about a $100 from the other guys. Too funny.

Allen you are welcome to whatever you like. If you want any of the high res images just let me know. Thanks for crediting the photos.

I also want to say thank you for all the hard work you and your father put in to make the Expo one of the premiere billiard events in the world. I can't imagine the planning and coordination required to get something of that size and magnitude to actually go off. Thanks for all your time and hard work. Once again you guys put a show that people will remember for the rest of their lives.

Your entire staff was courteous and professional throughout the event. They deserve many thanks from all the vendors, players and guests.

See you next year for sure.

Great job as always Allen! Hey, I went to your SBE website - looking good! By the way, how did you get Jeanette to pose for you in the www.poolhallroomsuitetees.com booth?

;)

(sorry, couldn't resist!)

Great pic's Justin, great stories. I hate that I missed it, but you brought some of it to life for us no-shows! Thanks!

Damn it!!

"Man, these two hunned dolla shorts!!"

The TAR booth rocked.... :D

promises to drink equally as much next year....

edit - see if you can spot JCIN in this pic... (he's hiding)

why wasnt i notified of this CAVE???? i hold jcin and cornerman fully responsible.

Good times, JC!

I've got another party room pic (taken by our own OMGWTF) with the back story...

A few of us were drinking (duh!) and Koop started mentioning that he was tired or feeling down, which is unusual cuz he's usually a pretty "up" guy. Anyway, I thought I'd cheer him up, looked at teh summer sausage sitting on the counter, and tossed it to him  Well, Mel musta snapped a pic at the same time, capturing the look on Koop's face. So, without the backstory, I was worried that Koop might come across as some kind of sexual deviate...

Eric >it's funnier after a few

I ended up ahead a lil with the Anvil, He was droppin 20's to me to piss off ross, to take him for 40$ a rack .... nobody but me and paul noticed that? ??

Then he didn't want too much money then... it was painfully obvious that I had a few beers and really didn't care if I won or lost... He could've made a hell of a lot more....

Which reminds me - I thought one of the funnier moments was when he had a nice layout from the 2 on and I bet him $100 he couldn't run out. He stopped and said, "Bet?" I said, "Bet." He then pulls out $60 in crumpled $20's and said, "nah, man...... "

Thus starteth the barkfest....

But now that I think about it, maybe I was losing to him to play you, Jer? :D

Wow. How tall are you guys? And how short is Darren?

I believe Darren is in the vicinity of 5'6, 5'7 and JCIN is probably 6'4? I've never met this "Anvil" gentleman but he appears to be the same height as JCIN. It's a pretty funny pic but I think my favorite pic that involves JCIN is the one with he & Alex P. That was some serious contrast in size!

JCIN, thanks for the thread and pictures. It seems like everyone had a wonderful time.

Justin
It was great hanging out with you and everyone else, let's just say I forgot the definition of moderation that night.
F-ing appletini's!!!!!

I'm 5'11" and JC towers over me. He's closer to 6'8", i think.

Eric >2" taller than Ross, when Ross wears tall boots

JCIN,
It was great to see you at the expo.

I gotta get me one of those "Got Gus?" T-Shirts.

IT Gal snapped this pic of me in the TAR booth. What makes it hilarious is my man PBat51 in the background expressing the true spirit of the TAR Nation.

I bet you had 3 copies of that same photo in your camera......

part time "ITGAL" masquerader...

It should be made mention that due to the limitations of the room size, and that the party is run largely on donations...it is an Invite Only....and they're pretty serious about this. In years past even pro players have been turned away.

While the SBE is an open event....the Army Party is not.

I think you need to know how to spell AZBilliards properly to get an invite, isn't that correct? ;)

Yeah dude, that was a great time... I could venture to say it was the best SBE yet for me...

TAR definately had the best booth... the Army was there most of the time banging balls... and turned out to be the best meet and great spot... it was the place for us to be if we were at the expo. Plus it was right next to the action tables...

Anvil was awesome, lost 40 bucks to him after losing 2 racks and that dude had me laughing my ass off. He was comedy gold...

The party was awesome... good to see things come togther as well as that did with all the planning that was done.

The party was awesome, but it was more limited to JimBo & his soldiers type of thing.

I think if AZB put together a room in another fantasy suite, that would give people more options.

Either way, I still miss the Jeeves parties....

Eric>you still out there, Jeeves?
