Pool Wars by Jay Helfert

Good job

Jay,
You are a good storyteller; you writing is very enjoyable to read. I hope that you keep it up, it is as good a pool book as I have yet read.
Thanks, Bill

And the best part is you can smoke it after you read it. But don't tell everybody about this.

Great book. I got copy #283. It's to good to destroy by smoking it. I get it, you're fishing for everyone to buy one to keep and one to smoke.

got mine just now!! #246...called in sick today to work too! now i have somethin to do other that watch tv and im feelin better already!! woohooo!!!

Finished reading mine and it was a very good read. Nice job Jay.
My only disappointment in the book was the last page with a picture of Jay ....PLAYING POKER !! I thought you were a pool player? :-)

Now get to work finishing your pool zen book, Jay.

I think mine came this morning while I was getting ready to go out and my wife was already out. I thought I heard something when I was coming out of the bedroom but wasn't sure. The slip was in the door knocker when I left. Have to wait 'till Monday, now:(

Jay, book arrived, can't wait to read it.....appreciate the personal touch.....many, many thanks....have you sold the first 500 already???

Thank you for the great read Jay. I was reading within 5 min. of opening the package and didn't stop until I finished the book. Looking forward to your next book.....wait, you did say there was going to be another book, RIGHT?

I picked up mine a couple days ago and I admit I don't read books much but I will get through this one quickly. I was very surprised to see the amount of pics there are. The pics of Billy I, and Charlie Cook on page 20 are great.

I got my copy on Friday of last week. However, I will not read it until later this year when my wife and I have some time off of work. I do not think I will be able to put it down after I start reading and I do want to be able to concentrate on what I am reading.

Thanks for the book and the personalization Jay.

Be safe.

Jerry

Line played good on Ming. She has a strong break! She looks bigger than before. She has your book for you.

Thanks Jay. Much appreciated. Looking forward to read it.

I am jealous of you who got to spend so much time this weekend with all the best poolplaying girls in the world... :p

Jay, the book arrived on Friday. Thank you for it, and for publishing such valuable pool history.

Jay, I am on page 95 and it has been a great read, I was also in Johnson City, 1965, and was at Ft. Polk 1964, (in Leesville I played at a poolroom that was on the left side of the street as you went into town, pool room on the left, arcade on the right, and plenty of big busted women working there for the troops, we just have missed each other, also played around the rack from 1966-68 or so, used to play Wolfie, Cal John and others. Might have ran into you there also. Thanks for giving us a look into your past. Tom

Got home last night from San Diego. Great tourney by the way. I'll go to work today catching up on all the most recent orders (from March 17th on).

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad so many people are enjoying Pool Wars. It amazes me that something that took me so long to write is being read in one day. Next time I'll write a longer book!

I think you are working way too much if you gotta wait that long.

I'm on number 348 right now with about fifty orders yet to fill. So about 400 sold of the first 500.

Great book!!

WOW Jay, I must say this book caught me from the moment I opened it!!! Great read! Love it.

E-Money!

Jay,

Copies 256 & 257 were received in good condition. After I got home from San Diego and the WPBA event, I only had time to briefly scan the book but I can tell this is going to be a good read; I enjoy old road warrior stories. Unfortunately it may take a couple of weeks before I have time to read it.
