The game of choice in the Philippines is rotation. I do not hear many jumping up and playing Efren in that game.

As much as I hate to say it, ER/ SVB should play 8b. 1p is way out of line and rotation games (12b or less anyway:wink:) is a little out of line, IMO.

I think SVB should play Bustie a big one stateside. He's already played Efren.

Jay, any idea as to why Efren changed his mind?

BTW, it's obvious Shane never disrespected Efren as some posts in this thread may lead you to believe. Spouting unsubstantiated crap like that, out of context, is poor form IMO.

I wouldn't say Efren didn't have a prayer, but I would agree also that I think Bustamante would have a better chance against Shane.

it all comes down to the break

Seems everyone knows in a 10-ball match, it would all come down to the breaks.....maybe whoever would back Efren knows that too.....especially in a long race to 30.....If it were one-pocket, I agree it would be a different story....What was the result of their prior 10-ball match? I see SVB won, but by how much? Obviously, a break-and-run is tougher to do in 10-ball than in 9-ball, but I remember how Earl used to just run 5, 6, 7 racks (a lot) because of the strength of his breaks. And just as obvious, SVB has a stronger break then Efren.
 
if my memory stand correctly Shane never beat Bustamante on a money matches or tournament matches...I think that's the reason why he change his mind...Shane knows that he has a big advantage on a break against Efren but Busta has more advantage than Efren on the break...

Shane knows he has a tough match against Busta not against Efren...if Shane will play Efren on a 9 ball match not 10 ball i will put my $10 on Efren anytime....:grin-square:

Edited: Just noted the latter portion of thread ... oh well, you gave it a shot. It must be frustrating but I guess that's par for the course.
