Congrats to Darren! This is very much deserved. I know he's worked very hard over the past few years.
Nice to see a good guy getting the recognition he deserves
Of course nice that he is one of "us" here on the forum too, at least sometimes.
Hate to say it but I'm sure he will be a super addition to the European team.

Don't count the American Mosconi Cup Team out. All of the members haven't even been selected yet.
This event is more about the team's ability to withstand the pressure of the event. The team which handles the pressure best, will win.
Since Team America has been soundly defeated by the European Team in recent competition and that pressure will be squarely on their shoulders. It could prove to be an advantage for Team America or a liability if they do not use their previous losses to inspire them to victory.
The ability to win these types of matches will have a lot to do with who is the Team Captain. I would like to see the American Team Captain to have some extraordinary skills in communication and motivation. The American Mosconi Cup Team Captain's skills at the table will have little to do with whether or not they win. It will be more about how he can prepare the players to assimilate the pressure and use it to inspire them to victory.

I'm not rooting for any team, I just like to see good pool being played but I don't think the Americans have much of a chance to win this event this year. Europe is just to strong.
The only team that could give Europe a run for it's money is a filipino team. Even then I still think Europe would be a slight favorite.

am delighted to be picked worked hard and this made up for last year, been my main goal all year to make team so to get picked before us open takes alot of pressure off,and now can really look forward to it.. and for me its a bonus its in vegas as i love america especially vegas
i think this year even though where probably favourites on paper will be tougher because american team will have the bit between there teeth especially after last 2 years heavy beatings so i expect them to be more together as a team and i think the crowds will be big in vegas ,
as for mosconi its live on sky sports in england and as been since it started in 1994 so have always watched it and followed it and loved the drama ..and the amazing production matchroom put on.. when i first started playing american pool in 2006 this was one of my goals so like i said really excited.. just wish it was next week lol..but seriously its a great way to end the year and something to really look forward to..
am really happy with our team to play alongside ralf and fiejen will be great..
last 2 spots bit of guessing game but we all have our opinions and am sure mika red hot fav to take 4th spot with 5th spot wide open..us open will be big for them guys..
i hope the americans get there strongest team
and michael for sure ill get you ticket or try my best as i owe you one!!

It should be a very high handicap imho but it isnt going to be. You have to have the odds with you to come out a winner if you are gonna gamble much and im sure some dummy will love the USA even. However i will offer you 7-5 on NEXT years Mosconi Cup when it is held in Europe. Keep it to 200 or so and ill even post.
