Midwest Cue Show Pictures

Yeah, there was actually a bigger turn-out for this show than there was for the ICCS according to Eric Crisp and Andy Gilbert. I'd like to thank Jamie Wersman (Worminator on here) for putting this together. He did an amazing job and I hope they decide to do it again. The cues there were truly amazing. It was great to meet alot of the people there, hope to see you all again.

Here is my favorite, me holding the Searing Twins. Thanks alot John, you truly have an amazing collection.

Next year.... I'll be there next year! Wow! Thanks so much for the great photo's.

Great Show, Looked well attended, My Bride and myself went for the day. Worminator did a GREAT job! (Hope they do it again)Airway Billiards was a good venue, and host. We did meet a bunch of AZers, and I know there was AZers we didnt meet, and I aim to correct that in the future.( I was the guy wearing the Property of AZ Billiards T Shirt) The cues were awesome, The greats were all represented enmass. Fell in love with a BB, We look forward to attending again! Charlie D

Even me as a limey who basically dislikes the make up of a pool cue would have parted with my readies for at least one of them beauties.

I Perticulary like this wood any idea what it is?

I am very excited to say this is my new cue. Here is the description according to Mr. Crisp:
Hi Chris. The cue is made of African blackwood forearm and handle with 8
hickory burl points in the forearm & 16 burl scallops in the handle, 8 each
end. The butt sleeve is burl & everything is accented with rosewood/maple
razor wire style rings. The joint & buttcap are fossil walrus ivory.

I am currently on vacation with my family and can't wait to see this cue in hand! I am very glad to hear many people enjoyed seeing the cue.

The wood on that cue is crazy in person. Very pretty cue, can't see how you won't love it.

cmd ... Trust when you get it you can actually take you eyes off it long enough to look at what your potting:D

It probably stuck out to me as it's fairly simlar to the spalted big leaf maple burl I had spliced to my latest snooker cue. see:
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=153099

Got a steamed pearwood shaft handsplice to gaboon with a champour burl top splice in the making and I said that'd be my last but i'm now thinking of a hickory shaft with hickory burl splices.

Does this love of exotic wood ever fade?

What a great show! I had a great time and it was nice putting faces on a bunch of AZ'ers! I enjoyed displaying my cues for the 1st time and enjoyed all of the people who came up to see them. I also enjoyed all of the other cues at the show!

Jaimie did a great job with the show and everything was very well done!
