Gotta love the perfect position at the end too. You stayed pretty cool to pocket that 9 as well - I'd probably be on the floor laughing :rotflmao:

Yeah, I got double lucky instead :thumbup:

I know it won't go on all tables, but I saw that the upper edge of the sidepocket could make it bounce back if I managed to get the cueball high enough to hit it. Worked fine ;)

I just love those creative moments :D

That is a very cool shot and getting shape made it that much nicer.

Years ago I played on a ball return table that would sometimes spit a ball out of the opposite side pocket if you fired it very hard into the side. I was playing someone for a small bet and fired in a shot very hard with the cue ball scratching in the side. I jumped clear and as expected the cue ball popped out of the other side and landed on the table. I didn't have perfect shape like you but I did have shootable shape. A discussion ensued! :D

I remember seeing allison fisher play a similar shot in a big tournament. There is a video of it floating around somewhere if someone finds it post it up

Spent the last hour looking at tons of links to Allison Fisher shooting pool only to discover that according to the people who post videos of her, there are only 8 matches in her entire life that are internet worthy, with about 75 different titles each....Going to watch "Flight Of The Conchords" now, I'll look again in the morning if it isn't posted by then.
 
yea she doesn't have much i looked as well but i know for sure i was watching it on tv so it wasn't like i dreamt it
 
BUMPING this old thread.

I played again today for the first time in many, many weeks. Played some small action 9-ball against a player I normally beat all the time a year ago, when I had motivation to practice, and played hours each day.

I got destroyed today, was up 4-0 but lost 9-4, and 5-1 in the next set. I guess lack of practice do that to a player :(

Anyway, because of my lack of practice my position play sucks bigtime, and I got a similar position like this early in the first set. I told the guy I played, "now you're gonna see a shot you've never seen before".

I jacked up, pocketed the ball and the cueball jumped back out on the table with position for the 4-ball : D: D:D

Still got a perfect record for this shot, I've now made it 2 out of 2 ;)

I just aim to pocket the ball :)

I don't use any aiming-systems, BHE, squirt or whatever it is called or anything like that, if that's what you are interested in.

I am of the opinion that if a poolplayer uses too much time thinking about those kind of stuff, instead of just play the game, it willl hurt his game in the long run.

I just meant did you aim fatter or thinner than usual. I think when the CB will be in the air when it hits the OB you have to aim a little fatter than usual.
