MAN !! They look great together... That sure is one heck of a pair there. Nice work Kevin , and Poolhustler you have a very nice set to add to your arsenal. Let me know how they play.. <ED

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the pics!! They both look great and I can't wait to give them a go. If the player is anything like the Varney I shoot with now, I will love it.

It has been a pleasure working with you on these cues!!!!!!

I need to work out the final balance due with you and then I will send final payment.

Talk to you tomorrow.

Best,

Russ.......

A/C - I will let you know how they hit soon!!

Kevin, thank you posting a pair of matched cues that actually MATCH!!! LOL. For some reason it aggrivates me when someone says "matched set" and the cues look nothing alike.

Great cues there buddy.

Now THAT is a hell of a pair. (I usually reserve that for women)

Very nice.

very awesome looking pair one has a 3/8 10 the other a 3/8 14? is the longer bolt the breaker? very good lookers

I believe the are both 3/8x10 pin's I don't know if anyone would ever put a cuetec pin in a custom...:rolleyes:Were you trying to count the threads ? The thread pitch looks to be the same , Maybe Kevin will answer. But Im pretty sure , but I have been wrong before ,,,Maybe !!<<ED

Ed...you are correct, both are 3/8-10. The brass is the player...the steel one is the j/b. The 2 steel pins worked out perfectly to acheive the customers desired weight. The brass pins are much heavier.

Varney Cue update:

I have been playing with my new Varney cues for almost a month now.

To make it short and simple, they are everything that I had hoped for and more. The player is a little heavier than I had spec'd, but the balance is soooooo nice on it that you can't feel the extra weight. It plays just fantastic!!

The break cue has taken a little more time to get used to. It does crush them pretty nice, but it is much harder to control whitey than I am used to. I'm still working on using the break cue. The jump portion works really nice as well.

For anyone considering ordering a cue from Kevin, there are plenty of threads you can read that will warn you about him, and I have read them all.

My experience in dealing with him was nothing short of fantastic. Be prepared to wait a little longer than he will quote you. I have experienced this with many cue makers and KV is no different. But the overall experience was very good!!

So, a huge thanks to KV for the awesome cues. I really appreciate the work that you put into them and it shows. Everyone who has seen them and hit with them, loves them.

I couldn't be happier....:)

Russ.....

Great job in my eyes, Kevin.
As poolhustler said - service was great and that is important i think
The wood in the cues looks amazing, super nice grain in the bocote and i realy like the rings.
Congrats to both of you to this set,
Erich
