A Balabushka was destroyed :(

Hi all,

Today I just heard from friend of mine that one of his friends just smashed a Balabushka and broke it into pieces. That guys got the cue as gift but he treated like it was like any cue you could find on any pool hall. He already smashed it couple times when he got angry after missing a shot and stuff like that. I asked my friend to bring the remaining of the cue to me. If it is possible, I will take some pictures but I just want to spread out the sad news to everyone who loves pool and cues, especially Balabushka cues.
 
That's sacrilegious! By chance was it this guy?

please tell me it was an Adams buska rendition

are you talking about an original buska, or one of the renditions made by Adams out of asia? If its an original some one should kick his arse for being a idiot child who destroyed a piece of history

either way real buska or not the guys a moron

People with that kind of anger management issues should be banned from owning anything of value.

I heard that the one who gave him the cue bought it in France. I had a chance to see the cue, it was very beautiful but I am not sure if this is an original one. But from what I know, a lot of his friend tried to buy the cue but they ended up with nothing. I'll try to get the pictures as soon as possible.

PS: Is there any way that I could find the picture of the renditions, so I could recall something?
 
If it turns out to be an "original" this guy should be drawn and quartered. If it's a re-issue he should at the very least, lose the use of his thumbs. Big Turk style!
 
Hey, if that guy owns the cue and he wants to see if he can throw it like a javelin over the river to the other side.....i would think that's his business.

If it was gifted to him, shame on the guy who gave it to him. That's what you get for giving a Balabushka to a neanderthal.

Don't be too sure. A few years back someone I know got an original Bushka as a wedding present.
 
Maybe the cue had it coming. I hate to judge these matters but if it starts missing balls and it ain't the fault of the guy playing .......whats a guy to do?:rolleyes:
 
Most people who think they have original Balabushkas, don't.

If this guy was dumb enough to destroy the cue, I'm guessin he's dumb enough to not know the difference.
 
I was at a cuemakers shop one time and he showed me a bushka that was broken in two in the butt. The guy apparently was playing with it for league and a fight broke out and he used the cue to defend himself. Im trying to remember which cuemaker this was. This was over 10 years ago but im about positive it was Dennis Searing who was showing me this cue and telling me the story. He said when he got the cue it had blood on it and it broke his heart to see the cue that way.
 
If it had Balabushka's signature on it, it was a reproduction. How old was the cue? George died in 1975, so if it was made after that it's not a real Bushka.

I hate people who don't respect fine cues. I remember this guy at the poolroom who had a bushka, and he would twirl it around like a samurai sword while singing Warewolves of London. He was a short guy named Vincent. He was pretty strange too.:grin:
