Ifn you guys and gals dont mind, I'd be happy to arrange such a meet and greet. Any recommendations, please PM me or post here. Personally, I love drinking at Bill's Gambling Saloon (mostly because its cheap ($5 pitcher for Lite) and I know the bartender) because the bar is rather large. I tend to try to avoid MGM/Bellagio/etc. for drinking as their drinks can be expensive! Also could try Ellis Isle. But those aren't exactly right next door to the MGM. I'll figure something out. At a minimum, we should have a meet and greet after the first session and then another one Saturday. Have to finally meet Bob Jewett. Doesn't have to be a big deal, just a half hour or so for drinkies. It really depends on where everyone is staying.

Let's see how it goes as to which day, but Dennis Hatch has consented to stick around for a group shot of the AZer's at the MC after one of the day's play. Based on everyone's participation in Dennis' nomination, I thought it would be a cool thing for everyone there to be able to provide to the AZ community. Since most folks are going to be there Friday/Saturday, perhaps that's a good day for this.

Whut, so if Europe lose I have to buy drinks for the entire USA? There ain't enough Bud Lite even in all of Vegas for that. How about this - If Team USA lose they have to pick up BFDLad's bar tab. Should only add a few more percent to the US Federal deficit

If anyone wants to do something in a pool room I can set something up at Pool Sharks or Mickey's or there are some bars in the MGM that will work.
MGM bars = close convenient and expensive
Pool rooms = Cab/Car ride, pool tables, and cheaper.

There willl be a meeting on Thursday and one on Saturday. There will be a photo op with Dennis after the matches on Thursday. He has already consented and Luke Riches of Matchroom has said okay. I'd love to do something at Mickey's, but it is kinda far out of the way.
There is a bar in the rear of the tourney room. I'd like to meet there prior to the first match for a drinkie and a good luck toast. If anyone wants to do dinner or other after the first day, we can talk after the pic.
Saturday, I'd love it if everyone could jump on the tram and run down to Bally's, cross the street to Bill's Gamblin Hall where the drinks are definitely cheap and the smoke isn't too bad. It really wouldn't be that hard.
I will see everyone in line each morning to make sure that everyone has their US flags and pins. I'll be passing them out as needed.
I'll send out a PM to all attending for hotel, days, etc. so that we can arrange something that fits everyone's itinerary.

It is a magical place.
I had a feeling JCIN was talking Spearmint Rhino. Not that I would find it personally uncomfortable or anything....but perhaps...if we truly are talking about ALL getting together...we could find a place more appropriate for everyone who might wish to be involved.
