What Tips Do The Pros Use?

I always see questions on here for what kind of cue or shaft does so and so pro use. I would be more interested to know what tip they use on their cues? I know Buddy use to use LePro tips for a long time, but someone on here said he changed to something else. Johnnyt
 
cory deuel and old Ef use elkmasters last time i heard anything about it. took
that into mind and pay a dollar for my tips now.

i don't like elk masters. after they've been milkduded up they play good but they take too long to break in and from what i've heard (never been patient enough to break one in myself so i'm taking others words for this) they don't last long.
 
true but at a fraction of the price of a ld tip. plus breaking with the elks are what give it the stiffness i personally look for. and cant stress it enough, they are a dollar. but preference is what prevails in this debate, ive used many ld tips( except the Kamui blacks) and personally found the cheaper ones hold feel longer. but the mooris are great. had one for over a year never shaped or picked it once.

yeah the older moori's were the shiznit. i had one for about 2 years without any problems.
 
Mika Immonen, Tony Robles, Rodney Morris, Larry Nevel and Jeremy Sossei all use Kamui tips.
 
Do a lot of pros use layered tip? I know a lot of pros are sponsored by those companies. Johnnyt
 
I remember during the DCC stream Justin or Chad (can't remember which) said Shane always usesTriangle tips.
 
It's interesting to see what they use but in the final analysis, it's what you like that really counts. After 2-3 years of changing tips, trying quite a few, I finally settled almost on my original preference. I played with a Moori medium that I liked about 3 years ago. Now I'm playing with a Moori soft and don't ever plan on changing. There is no super tip that's going to improve your game magically.
 
I've tried a bunch from old champions to the mooris and after several years with the old moori mediums I have gone back to triangles again. I do my own work so I have access to change whenever I want and without a lot of cost and I have a pretty good stock of tips. But I believe the triangles are probably the best all around.
 
Shane uses Triangles, Bustamante used to use a milk dud but that was when I saw Blackburn take it off of one his shafts and put it on the other a few years ago. :D

I have tried about everything in regard to tips,and now a play with a triangle and have been for the last two years,Svb,archer and several other top pros also play with a triangle.I do cut about half my tip off when i get it put on(it just plays better that way)I use it on a 314-2 shaft

I think they use the FREE tips. ;)
