I have emailed Mark a few times for one thing or another and he always replies within hours. I asked about the BCAPL in vegas in the last email posting the same question here on AZ. He replied at 8:30am on a Saturday, I think before I had 10 views on AZ.

I really appreciate someone in his position taking the time to answer the simplest questions every time I ask. The pool community is lucky to have Mark at bat for pool.

Well said. Mark is an enduring credit to our sport committed to excellence in all his endeavors.

Mark is the epitome of class and business savvy. I have a strong belief that if pool is ever going to get to the next level here in the US, it will be done on the coat-tails of Mark's grassroots philosophy. You won't find too many people, if any, who can match his passion and drive in the pool community. Not to mention he's a hell of a nice guy.

Yes, we are lucky to have Mr Griffin in our corner!!!!:)

See everyone in Vegas in May!!!!

Besides being a great credit and asset to the billiards community, he is the go to guy for info on the BCAPL.

Frequently I've seen people posting misinformation here concerning the BCAPL and Mark has come forward right away to set things straight.

As anyone knows, if the right info does not get out right away....misinformation becomes fact.

I like and respect Mark alot, He is a good friend too.

He came over with Sunny his beatiful bride and some renegade pool room bums:p:wink: for a visit the other night and we had a blast. It was great to see him with a cue in his hands for a change-instead of awalys working. I hope he comes back sooner than later.

On to serious biz, I like Mark for that as well and told him that I feel he is the right person for the job. I hope I boosted his confidence(not that he needed it), I just encouraged him and offered what ever it is that I can do for him I would be glad to. Perhaps its nothing, or maybe he will need something from me. I think anyone who cares about pool should let Mark know it, that allows him to make a bigger foot print cause he knows where he stands. He is the right guy IMO.

best

Mark is a great guy, he is always approachable and easy to talk to. He is a consummate professional and a great ambassador for the game of pool. He has worked to make the game accessible to all players through the BCAPL and by his involvement with many professional events. We are fortunate to have someone like Mark that is willing to take the reigns and promote pool.

Thanks,
Daniel

Oh yeah........Sunny is OK too, I guess.

sjm,
While I am going to have to agree that he has definitely been a tremendous asset to the game of pool; his excellence does not extend to ALL of his endeavors. I'm afraid his pool game is suspect.

Watching him play is like watching 5 alley cats trying to escape from a burlap bag....noisy, uncoordinated, and painful to watch...and that is just him trying to chalk the cue (occasionally even chalks the leather end). I wondered if he had ever played before (lord I hope not, no one could be that feeble had they ever actually played before)........but you can certainly say that as a player he runs a great tournament (the BCA in Vegas is AWESOME!!!....errrr, I think he doesn't actually do the directing.....nevermind; I will try to find something else to say favorably about him.....give me a few weeks....).

P.S. - Lack of skill, lack of heart, and the display of extreme envy (over my possession of the Betmore Cup) do NOT mean that he isn't the most influential man in pool; and for my money someone pool would be far worse without.

If Mark could make it to his tournament matches on time, he would move up another notch with me. :D

Yeah, if we can keep her off the cherries. LOL

Because of my position with CSI I have access and am given info (not all but some) on what CSI and Mark Griffin have in the works. I got to tell you that he has so many things going on at one time and so many ideas and things that he is investing in for the betterment of pool. I don't know of anyone who is investing as much time and money and resources in the sport.
I am greatful that he is involved.

I think Mark has been "Called out""!! LMAO!!

There are people that are good , people that are good at what they do, and people that are in a class of their own-

Mark is in a league of his own, and hands down is one of the best guys in the pool world that you could ever meet.
If we had more active participation of guys like Mark this industry would definitely turn the world on it's head and get people to stand up and take more notice.

I for one take my hat off to him- not many out there that can handle the load he's put on himself with the standards that he's always raising in the middle of it
So here's my "Atta Boy":grin-square: Keep up the good work Mark, see ya in SBE

Mark is genuinely a great guy and someone who's a blast to hang out with.

Thank God he's into pool and not, say, bocce ball or something like that. Otherwise, you'd see TEAM BSI with a team of 4 guys carrying around bocce bags doing exhibitions and national bocce tours. Pool is SUPER lucky to have a guy like him.

I also really appreciate Mark and all that he does for pool. I don't even know most of what he does, but the smidgen that I do know of, I am impressed and glad he is in the pool business - because he's in it for the players!

Sunny organized my B Day dinner in Vegas last week and then we were all off to Fatboy's house for R and R. It was a blast! Thanks to Sunny for setting up the best Birthday dinner and I was SO glad Mark was able to come along. He and Justin played on the snooker table at Fatboys awesome house. I'll try and post a pic tomorrow of them!

I agree Jason, it makes things so much nicer when people have thier poop together.

(Geeze I just realized that sounded like some sort of weird activity)
