Well to be honest I do not think its a factor at all and wont affect the outcome of the match and the fans will not know who is rooting for who or whatever. I think we all have watched TV matches and streamed matches where pro players were in the booth and there buddy was playing someone who they might not even care for but they act professional and stay neutral, the fans like us do not even have a clue because of this. The thing that matters is the quality of the commentary IMO.
Yeah, it's awesome having a poker player commentating a pool match. That's like when Jeanette Lee was doing the bowling contests. If it wasn't for the stunning good looks neither you or Jeanette would have jobs.

that's fine but hopefully they can get some people from california to do some commentary as well. that way we can get inside information and color on both players.

I do believe Eric is familiar with Melinda and also I messaged her to see if she had any suggestions on commentators, would be nice to have people who know the players to give that inside information.

I am almost inclined to want biased parties from BOTH teams in there together collaborating.
Call me old fashioned, but the best commentaries of that past were when you had the 2 people in the booth, disagreeing on everything, whether it be the shot that was taken, or who the better player was.
2 Pro Borana and 2 Pro OMGWTF would be PERFECT.
Forget that neutral stuff, I'd rather have something to spice it up.

I do like the idea of having people in there who know both ladies so we can get background on them and learn something about their practice, tournaments, gambling and how long they have been playing and so on. I will be streaming the AWBT (Arizona Womens Billiard Tour), I know some of the ladies but many I do not so I will have their competitors in the booth doing commentary because they have been around them and know them well.

I'm with Jay on this one. Commentators should not be involved at all. If you have action on the match, I don't care how "skilled" you are, if something freaky happens like a camera pod collapsing during your opponent's(the person you are betting against) stroke & sharks her into losing the match, then it's going to look very bad on you. Sh!t happens that can easily be avoided. What's the problem with just having commentators who have no bets or favorites? Save yourself the grief, Lenny. Sh!t happens & you don't want to be the one it's thrown on. I'm not knocking anybody listed, just looking at this from outside the box.
I will bud, just gotta get the nod first from the ladies that they want me to do it, should be a fun time for all. I do like how the ladies are handling this without all the BS crap talking, lots of class being shown. Interested on hearing the format of this and if it will be 9 ball or 10 ball or 8 ball on the bar table.
