You know. As far as commentators go.
I am almost inclined to want biased parties from BOTH teams in there together collaborating.

Call me old fashioned, but the best commentaries of that past were when you had the 2 people in the booth, disagreeing on everything, whether it be the shot that was taken, or who the better player was.

2 Pro Borana and 2 Pro OMGWTF would be PERFECT.

Forget that neutral stuff, I'd rather have something to spice it up.

I'm with Jay on this one. Commentators should not be involved at all. If you have action on the match, I don't care how "skilled" you are, if something freaky happens like a camera pod collapsing during your opponent's(the person you are betting against) stroke & sharks her into losing the match, then it's going to look very bad on you. Sh!t happens that can easily be avoided. What's the problem with just having commentators who have no bets or favorites? Save yourself the grief, Lenny. Sh!t happens & you don't want to be the one it's thrown on. I'm not knocking anybody listed, just looking at this from outside the box.

I can understand where your coming from for sure, if either lady has a problem with it we could certainly just have some commentators who do not know either very well and have no bets on this. It has been mentioned about my bet earlier in this thread, if Roy will let me out then that would be fine so there is nothing said about it but if not I do not think my $100 sweat is going to affect anything since I am just setting up equipment.

You don't think when Danny Diliberto and Bill Incardona do Accu-Stats commentary that they don't have heavy bets on the match!!! They do...and they remain neutral and announce the match as professionals!!! I guess the tournament referee at the the US Open (One of the best...Scott the Shot Smith) does not bet it up either!!!

Lenny you're the man. Take charge. No need to let these crazy people think they have a vote. The whole idea of biased commentating for this match is silly. And I'm sure the women could give a hoot. They have both been well above the AZ fray.

I agree. Commentators hopefully cannot be heard by the players so there shouldn't any issue. But we all know weird stuff just happens randomly. If something were to happen that swayed the match and could be viewed as my fault, I certainly wouldn't then want it found out that I had something to gain by one of the ladies winning.

Honestly, I guess for the viewers... yea, its a pretty one sided. But really, who cares. They are gonna get down to business and whoever is on the mic will have no effect on the match. Tony and Chris are both great players and its always good to hear what they think. Yea, but both know Borana really well, but they know the game better.

I had 500 on Shane in his epic match against Alex. But when Alex started that remarkable comeback I forgot all about it. I got too caught up in the match to even care. That was TAR at it's best! One of the all time great comebacks, right up there with Efren's win over Earl in the $100,000 Battle of the Century!
