Dippnutz is a pro poker player. He fvcks with peoples heads for a living. He hates Scott and knows that Frost has some chinks in his reputational armor that he can exploit and raise suspicion with. I could break down all the "Scott stayed in a whale suite and had to blow millions to do it" line of thought but I dont feel like doing a point by point breakdown. I am too lazy.
Even if Dippinator did pay Frost, which I will never believe he did barring that digital video file of him counting out $50K to Frost on the hood of the DippyMobile in the Aria valet, he still stole Frosts truck. No way around that.
The whole idea of "Scott is a bad guy so I am going act like a douchebag to get back at him for all the things he has done wrong the last 20 years" makes no sense to me. It's nothing more than a smokescreen and misdirection move. The kind of thing poker players do everyday. When your weak act strong and all that bullshit. Personally I think Dippy better really watch his ass now. The money thing is bad enough but that truck caper is adding insult to injury to the point where it could cause a dude to just not give a fvck anymore.
Lastly I really hope we don't have a huge influx of poker forum dudes coming over here telling us how cool the Dipped One is because he staked them to $20 SnG on Stars or a lapper at the Rhino. Poker forums make this place down right Ivy League.
Not in this case, Dippy was just giving Scott a deal on the truck for 10k since at the time they were getting along. Dippy must have not needed it. I do not think Dippy is broke, I know how he got his money and it was not poker. This guy was not some rounder who built up a bank roll at all, like someone said earlier he is a con artist in every sense of the word but his money is still green and pool players still need to eat so game on.
I must admit I have enjoyed the bantor back and forth. I have watched Viffer on TV playin poker, and I always wondered how someone who appears less, I don't know, "worldly?" could be such a high roller. I mean how did he get his BR in the first place. I assumed he was another internet sensation, but have never really heard of him being a good net player who made tons online, so I then assumed he was either a good drug dealer, or more likely a bookie, or the least likely that he had family money. I know its none of my biz, but since you brought it up, I am asking...how did he, in your opinion, first achive his roll?
As many of you may have guessed, my job requires that I be up at the crack of dawn. Last Hannukah, I tried to get everyone in the neighborhood alarm clocks thinking wouldn't this be nice; I think they call it progress, right? They can be awakened electronically, I could get a little more shuteye, but Nooooooooo, they still want me to take care of it so I guess it's bedtime for me.
Well, we made it over the 1000 hump and no one's been hurt; at least not seriously. :grin-square: I think that's noteworthy.

by the way he didn't have to blow millions. He had to blow $50,000 and I never said he did. Just more of the mountains of circumstancial evidence to sift through for the avid readers. A lot of people are throwing in a lot of stuff weaker than that and you don't have any evidence one way or the other either.
Why is taking a truck back after being strongarmed in a middle of a public poolroom such a horrible thing to have happen. To me that's an ultimate act of desperation. I believe you might have done worse revenge if someone attempted that on you.. Although we've established there are no samoans bigger than you and not to mention willing to take you on.

Shoot, my cut of a measly $50 won't put me much ahead of Scott's current BR! Sorry, that was mean; it's late and it just slipped out. I should take my $17 cut and be happy with it. If I add that to the $5 I won at pool tonight (true story -- I was getting 8 to 7, the break, and two pics from a local shortstop) I'll have enough to buy a new Kamui tip.
