Man your fighting a loosing battle here, this guy is only one of hundred's around the USA and World that make copy's of pool matches and sell them, I know you can get any match ever played for $10.00, and less for bulk, including TAR production DVD's.

So what do you suggest I do?
I can either fight people stealing from me when I find them or quit making things. Also if you are buying ripped off DVD's you are as a big a part of the problem as the guy selling them. One day when you look around and wonder why no one is making DVD's anymore you will have a good idea why that is.

Since I, too, am interested in soft leather cue cases I wrote to the address you supplied in the January 1987 issue in response to Mr. Thane Myers request, I am enclosing the card I wrote which was returned to me because of "insufficient address".
Perhaps in a future issue of this best magazine of the world's greatest sport you could print a "sufficient address" for Longhom Case CO.

The problem is nobody has fought a battle. Hold people accountable. Take on some people and it won't be so easy for people to do this for many reasons. Can you win this war? That's not the point.
There's also the issue of legal precedence. If you successfully prosecute this, once, then it's easier to do, next time.

I was selling stuff on e-bay for a brand name and had to deal with fakes and copies all the time. What you want to do is shut down the source -- people making the multiple copies or misrepresenting the materials.
The ebay sellers are usually responsvie. On e-bay you can send them a PM or report the auctions. A polite but stern letter worked for me every single time. I would write something to the effect that "you are selling an item that is an illegal copy of my material - please remove the auction and refrain from using my company name or materials in the future." The auctions disappeared quickly. most sellers don't want troubles with e-bay.
This guy here probably just bought some copies and re-sold them.
It's easy to search the DVD's. After a month of doing this, all the fakes were gone from my manufacturer.
I don't know if you recall, but I alerted you to a commercial source of bootleg TAR copies several years ago . I'll check out some stuff and PM you.

No matter how you slice it...The guy is a POS thief with no regards for anybody but himself & hope he gets what he really deserves...I have a DVD collection & have no idea how many i actually have but probally at least 2000...I can say that none of them are copies...I've bought plenty bulk lots from ebay but not a 1 bootleg or burned copy...It's still a crime no matter how petty some people might think it is.JMO on the matter.

I'm with ya man, you do all the work and the sleeze balls get up on ya!, but it's not only Tar production DVD's, but main stream movies are on the market before they ever get released these days, and seems like they come from the eastern countries, then recopyed in the USA.
But your Tar DVD's have been sold around tournaments, but I've not bought any of them!
I don't know what you can do about it, your doing the only thing I guess, try to out them is all you can do for starters, but seems like there would be a way when you record the DVD with certain software that it can't be re-recorded.
