What do the Top Players in the World AIM at?

Patrick asked you a totally fair question.

This was your response:

Not only that, you didn't bother to answer the question, or offer any insight at all. Open forums are give and take, not here to accommodate you to conveniently do research from experts on a subject.

You were rude with that response. Anybody can respond to any question you post. It's up to you to decide if they are expert enough to give it credibility, or ignore it.

If it weren't for the fact that you are a championship 3C player, people would have been a lot harder on you. I'm surprised that you don't see this is not the way to do things.

Neil Bill lives right down the road from me and Ive always considered him a fine person. Ill agree he didnt express what he was tring to get very well.He was acc trying to get answers from the names he listed.And as far as scientific goes you should read his new book its loaded with info.It acctualy offers alot for pocket billiards as well.Bill is probably the book smartest 3c player out there every shot he takes is based on a system not just winging it.If you get a chance check it out or the DVD you wont be dissapointed
 
Seems to me that he wanted specific answers from people of a specific talent and was not looking to get a bunch of replies from theorist etc His request appeared to offend some a little short of this caliber player and they got their feelings hurt and responded by lavishing obloquy on Mr Smith because he really didn't want the opinion of anyone shy of a top player.

Ill be the first to admit he can be a little harsh,but anything away from the table hes a hell of a nice guy.I have found from being around him that 3c players look at and explain things 180 degrees diff than pool players do.Some of the things hes told me make no sense on a pocket table but when he does it it works.Cant believe it even though ya saw it type thing.Speaking of 3c is Tung still alive or around GR. Steve told me you cant smoke in the pool room anymore?Whats the world coming to?
 
Lets say Derek Jeter is having an off year and wants advice from someone with a career major league batting average of 320 or more
Instead he gets advice from fellas who played little league and got a hit or two.When he politely ask for responses from big leagures the little league ex players become offended and reply "you are an elitist and a snob,maybe I didn't play in your league but I am still a decent human being and I got good ideas too"

You are abs. right. Were Bill first went wrong was (well starting the post lol ) was he asked the question in the wrong place,then got offended and offensive. What he was looking for was info not help with his game so he only want a pro opinion he just went about it wrong.But like alot of threads I read people jump on someone then the jump back and pretty soon everyone looks like a jerk.

What I cant figure out is why he posted here anyway he knows most of those guys pretty well and couldve just called.I guess he thought it would be good info for everybody.

what this guy said. he can ask for anything he wants in a thread. doesn't mean he'll get it. i sympathize with the guy. he prob thought he could get top pros to post in the thread instead of egomaniacs.
 
This is easy

The contact point. You can go through many gyriations of aiming, but it comes down to the contact point.... period.
 
I guess he could have posted on the "Ask the Pros" Section of the Forum.

Oh!... none of them qualified or met his level of excellence.

him and just about every other player in the midwest....but its been around since before we dropped the bomb......

so is that shadow method I was describing....I just stumbled upon some somewhat lost/forgotten info....

THERE AINT NOTHING IN THIS GAME THAT AINT NEW...THAT HADN'T BEEN DONE....

it just doesn't exist unless your venom trickshots....

when I eventually complete something worthy of being what any of us would call a book, I want to include loads of stuff.....every dam aiming method I can think of.....

there is no better one, its just what is easiest for YOU....its just like a dam cue

so just list them and let the people use what they prefer....


put it to you simple.....If charlie bryant came up to you and told you to break just like him....exactly like he does.....WOULD YOU DO IT? HELL NO YOU WOULDN'T

Believe me, there is nothing me and Neil would like more than Mr. 3C on a pool table to show him how we, non TOP players, aim.
