DCC bound! who out there is ready to hit the road!?

ok folks.....as of this morning my plans are to hit the road and go to the DCC for the first time in a few weeks! I am hoping to hang with Lenny, and some of the other "Virgins" :)

I have no room set.....no plans....no route ....nothing, just a wad of cash, my cue and a plan to have a GREAT time! Let me know if you all are in the same boat as me?......see you all soon!

I was thinking the same thing! :).

sorry about my silly posts but I am getting psyched here man!! I have not been on a vacation in 6 years since I started my new plumbing business. I finally have my apprectice trained to where he can handle most service calls while I'm away.

I'm no DCC virgin but I'm more pumped about this year than ever before!! Will only be there for the first 4 days but that's better than nothing..

I'm not sure of your planned route; but if you are taking I-70 to Indy, then south on I-65 to Louisville, your route takes you right past Betmore's Basement.

It might be a good place to stop that Thursday before DCC. Danny DiLiberto may or may not be here (usually stops here on the way to Louisville if he's driving); but food, beverages, pool, and lodging are reasonable (free).

I work weekends, so will not be going until Monday; I'll look for you in the AZB room if you don't make it to the Basement.

Welcome to the party. Glad you can make it. You will not be dissapointed with your decision. It's the best week of the year for me as far as pool is involved.
 
I'm envious, but didn't get my ducks in a row in time and now apparently the host hotel has no rooms anyway. I did get to the US Open for the first time this year and it would have been nice to add my first Derby City to the list of 2010-2011 milestones. I'll have to catch as much as possible through the streams.
 
I'm super pumped about going. For the first time some buddies and I are going to the first and 2nd weekends. Our original plan was to go down there saturday and spend the night and come back Sunday. The second weekend we are going Thursday and staying through Saturday.
 
Gerry, I envy you, man. If I could, I'd swing by Philly and share the driving to DCC.

Hope to see you there! I'm not heading down until the 25th but will be able to play in the 9 ball and catch the Fatboy tournament as well. Can't wait..

I will be leaving from baltimore around the same time as you,i am hopeing to get there little after noon time,to check in to my room at the horseshoe,ill be there from friday to friday,last year my buddy and i never left the building one time,there was no need to,they have everything that you could want inside,have a safe trip and iam looking forward to meeting some fellow azers!

thats good to hear man. I don't know how, but this morning I was looking around at the casino website and went thru the room booking process.....AND IT WORKED? I got a confirmation and everything!!! YES! I booked a room from the 22nd thru 26.

Now I don't know if I want to drive or not? Seeing as I need not leave the hotel, maybe I will just fly in and get the shuttle.
