How much would you pay for a SINGLE cube of chalk??

$25 bucks for one piece of chalk. Wow does it chalk my cue for me.... will i never miss a shot again ....no wait i see it must be made out of gold
I read that other thread this morning where fast mikey reviews the chalk. For some reason my mind went to the time I was on South Beach and a Ferrari with the engine you can see through the back window slowly idled by on Ocean Drive. I said to the wife...jeez that car supposedly costs like a quarter million. She says hmmm well it better come with ADS then. I said ADS? you mean ABS brakes? No she said ADS. Automatic D!ck sucker.

My opinion is this: Anyone paying $25 for a single cube of chalk would feel a lot better about themselves if they bought a single cube of Masters chalk for @ 50 cents and then sending $24.50 to Saint Judes Childrens Hospital (unless I'm wrong and poolplayers are bigger jerks than I already percieve many of them to be).

Ok so nobody really know wow much the new cubes of Kamui chalk is yet so lets no worry about it . I've seen alot of pro's use different kinds of chalk , now I've seen Dennis Orcollo use so many different kinds from Masters, Cosmo, Triangle , Silver cup , same with players all around .
My personal fav right now is Blue Diamond . I still have a pieces of Masters , Triangle and Blue Diamond . It's what the player perfers .

You know Maniac around my area I've met some pretty Stuck up Pool Players there noses are so fare up in the air its not funny , Me on the other hand I'm probably the most easy going humble guy you'll ever meet. But I do agree on your post . :thumbup:
for $25 it should have a set of lips attached to it.

I answered $1 or less although I did once buy two cubes of Blue Diamond for $6 or $6.50. That was a waste never to be repeated.

What's so different about this stuff?
Does this chalk only stick to tips not to ferrules, shafts or anything non-leather? This would be cool. Easy clean cases, cloth and no pool lines on the clothes.
Does it last longer than a piece of any other brand of chalk?
Is there really a noticeable performance difference?
Is it scented? Not sure which scent you would want it to have if it was...lol

just thought of this now, but if it is $25 but lasts forever and I mean FOREVER even after 8 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year and on and on being quite literaly the last piece of chalk you have to buy (barring losing it it some one "borrowing" it) then $25 is a steal

I would be willing to pay $0.20 each. That is about the price of Triangle chalk. Which is what I use.
Perhaps the high price chalk came with a CTE primer. Then I may be willing to go another couple of digits.

I understand where your coming from, I can't even see paying what you pay for Blue Diamond. Plain old Masters or Triangle works just fine, I mean you are suppose to Chalk up after every shot anyway.
I think all this specialty Chalk is just another way of taking advantage of those who are looking for quick fix for a broken game, instead of becoming a student of the game and spending the necessary time on the table practicing your fundamentals.

I don't have a problem at $6 for 2 pieces of BD. I still have several left.
I chalk after every shot pretty much and I can't get my head around the fact that you really don't have to, its just habit. So, a piece of chalk where you don't have to doesn't last, or at least doesn't last me any longer than a cheap piece of chalk.
Yeah, I do think Pre Flag and BD does go on a little smoother and can last longer. Instead of just chalking the cue while I'm studying my next shot, I found I was studying the tip to see if it did need chalk or not and its a waste of time. It takes your eyes off the table if even for a few seconds.
My personal opinion of John Bertone is not great to begin with.
I always though he wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to how he does business with his distributors.
If hes at the SBE trying to flog this chalk at $25 a cube, then I doubt my opinion of him will change any time soon.
I do use a Kamui tip on my main player at the moment. Just for testing purposes. I do and will continue to stock a few Kamui tips for my customers. If thats what they ask for, then thats what they get. So, don't get the idea I dislike the actual tip itself.

DaveK...If you use a cube of chalk in one to two weeks, YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG! Seriously...use it correctly (brush it on lightly), and it will last you 10x longer.
