He threatened Earl on here, kinda indirectly, but isn't he there? Yeah, this is good stuff. We all secretly watch Springer once in a while.

What a buzzkill. This has been THE stream of the year so far.

That was freaking EPIC. the stream was awesome. the match so far was epic and the drama, how can you beat the drama?

getting the scores here is great, but if nothing is really (i mean really) preventing you from getting the stream, then dont be a cheapass and just get it.
network tv wont touch pool. imbeciles. they make snookie a star but earl nuts on tv would rule. (i love earl by the way hes a legend in my mind)

You know, Earl is just enough of a lunatic that he might make pool succeed on TV. That's what people want these days, a healthy dose of insanity and narcissism. And Earl has that in Spades!
P.S. Shane needs a night to think this one over. He will have to change his strategy tomorrow. Maybe slow the game down with safeties. There is no reason he can't play good on a 10' table. He can play proper position with no problem and he has a long reach himself. I think he got blind sided by Earl the idiot. I'm kind of surprised that Earl got away with his hi-jinks.

It was unreal. Very strange. Earl was absolutely out of his mind throughout most of the night. It makes me feel like he probably was fully deserving of getting kicked out of the SBE. His behavior is just becoming increasingly bizarre.
Having said that, this is like a train wreck- you can't look away and Earl was playing VERY well tonight, just a few errors here and there. I hope he can keep it up, not so much because I'm a fan of his, but because I want to see a competitive match on the final day

I think you mean an UNhealthy dose of insanity and narcissism. That's what Earl has, and, incidentally, that's also what people want.
I will bet something small $200 or less on Earl from here if SC5thom or someone else wants it just pm me by 4pm tommorow and we can post thru paypal somehow as I never bet to much on here

"We have never met before, my name is John Mars, I think you are a great player and I enjoy watching you play pool. If you act like you did today again tomorrow it isn't going to end well."
He jumped up and said I threatened him, and I did. He later came up to me and apologized for how he acted and said that he will try and be better tomorrow.
He can take my threat anyway he wants but he shouldn't take it lightly. I hope he doesn't choose to insult Shane again by saying he wishes he was deaf, but if he does I like his chances of his day not ending well.

I don't think Shane got sharked by Earl today, just outplayed. Everyone seems to have conveniently forgotten that Shane turns his hearing aids off when playing in tournaments or matches like this. If he can't see Earl" face and reads his lips, he has no idea what he says. Name calling, shame on you Jay.
John, you may have more money than brains, to publicly say you did threaten Earl. I'd suggest you slow down on the booze, might save you some cash. I don't see the insult in what he said. He likely meant he wished he didn't hear everything being said by the crowd. I wouldn't wish Shane's condition on anyone, but I've wished I could drown out distractions during pool matches in a lot of places I've played in. Why do you think Shane plays without his hearing aids on? Why is he allowed to in tournaments that disallow ear plugs?
Earl repeatedly asked Mars what does that mean. Someone said he repeated that it won't end well but I remember Mars saying it means don't act like this again tomorrow. I think twice he answered like that. Which in my opinion is kind of less hostile.
But then Mars comes on and puts it in writing that he means it won't end well if Earl acts the same. This couldn't possibly be scripted any better.
For the record I don't consider Shane deaf. He can hear fine with his aid and talk normally without signing. For me Earl's comments about wishing he was deaf aren't as mean since Shane is totally normal the way I see it. Guys bust each others balls all the time worse than that. To me it's meaner to make fat jokes to a guy who is actually fat than what Earl said.

It doesn't matter if you consider him hearing (no disrespect). What matters is that it is a real disability to be hearing impaired and he has had to overcome that. You don't think he was made fun of in school for that? That kind of stuff sticks with you and can affect you for a long time. Earl, regardless of how he meant it, should think before he opens his mouth. That's the equivalent of saying "I wish I was in a wheelchair so I didn't have to walk everywhere". With all the shit Earl talks about respecting the game, he should do the same.
I can understand guys cutting up on each other, but that wasn't the situation. You have to be close to be able to bang on somebody about something personal in my opinion.
I told Earl that it means if he doesn't act better than he did today it won't end well.
I don't care whether or not you consider Shane deaf, he is legally deaf. My father in law is legally blind but can still read some menus in restaurants should you be able to insult him with blind remarks? If you don't think what Earl did is wrong I think you may need to look very closely at yourself because you have issues. Why don't you ask some friends who don't know anything about pool or know Shane what they think and see what they say.
