Any Tv Mike Fans?? Speak up please.

TV Mike

His PM stated I was on his list of people who had stated an interest , which I was .
I understand people not wanting unsolicited PMs. I don't want them either, but I had expressed interest.
I hope they can get this resolved soon Mike is one of the few people trying to do something positive.
 
Just to clear up a couple of misconceptions here...

Wilson did not ban Mike. I did.

Yes, it is against the rules to post for someone who has been banned. I am willing to give Tom the benefit of the doubt though. Tom, please don't do it again.

The issue with Mike was not the thread promoting his products. I have no problems with that at all. It was creating five new users on the site and using those accounts to spam the users with a long email selling his products. And then sending me an email that basically said "How else am I supposed to promote my product", "It was just good marketing", etc.

Mike has been banned for 30 days, although he may get a 3 day pass during the Bad Blood event so that he can provide technical support here on the forums for any viewers who are having problems during the event.

Yes doing something positive is a good thing for pool.

Mike just has to realize breaking rules will put the heat on him as well as stepping on toes in other venues such as the DCC incedent !
Live and learn.
Moderater moderating is a good thing too !

Really?? Seriously?? lol If he did that,,he has some big kahunas.(BIG KAHUNAS!!)) I really don't have a clue ,but WOW!!!

Could you imagine loading up all your gear and walking into a arena with a large event like that taking place,,(without permission) And setting up all your equipment,,,out in the open ,for all to see. Then sitting there. Laptop open,,cameras running,and headphones on!!
Does that sound possible??? The answer is NO!! Makes me wonder if authorized streamers had a signed paper/contract?? Or maybe permission came way of a conversation with event operator? Im willing to bet he had permission,,, but I don't know ,,,and he is not here to defend himself.
 
No disrespect to anyone involved and you all put out a great product that we all enjoy.

As for another streamer taking up someone elses bandwith, I would think that if streaming is your business, you would have a contract with the venue that ensures you have a designated internet connection with specific bandwith capablility prior to even going to the event so that there is no chance of anyone taking any of your bandwith.

Also I would think you would have a contract with the Tournament Directors also ensuring you were the only one streaming the tournament.

Just seems like smart business to me.

Accustats and TAR = Had deals to stream

TVMike = Didn't (which is why his streaming was shut down, quickly.)

We aren't just making this stuff up for the sake of argument.

Here is another point.

Some come here looking for vast amounts of support !

Most of the time they are non-members !

TVmike is a non-member.

I know times are tough but it doesn't cost alot to support the Forums !

Worth way more in the exposure he gets IMO.
 
I like his streams also. He tries hard and streams ALOT.
Great quality also. Thanks Mike hope you get back soon.

Oldzilla you make a very good point here of supporting the forums as a member. Mike H. & AZ do a lot FREE here as well for the pool community. We are lucky to have it available.

Thank you Mike, I really appreciate it. We all know that people come here for info and since Tvmike is doing the Bad Blood It would for sure cause problems for The Legends and Champions event. Sorry for the problems and I am sure as tvMike has said it won't happen again.

this is your house and you should do as you see fit. thanks for thinking about the pass during the match so he could help out. i am one the people who will be buying the stream and that may come in handy. thank you very much for thinking ahead and not just saying a ban is ban. i hope you decide to let him slide on those few days.

I second this, I listend to one of his streams and he had NO idea who was who, and that female he has on the stream is TERRIBLE! I mean I am not trying to be mean or anything, but they have a LONG way to go.

The streams look good, nice cameras, but the mic needs to be turned OFF.

APA 3's have no business commenting on pool matches, when they have NO idea where the cue ball is going, and have no clue about patterns. Also no clue when they are talking about players.

Kick'em out, ban'em, and someone please tell him to lose his microphone.

Well if it helps the commentary will be done by Buddy Hall and Nick Varner for the Bad Blood Event. I am sure we can all agree that they will know exactly what they are talking about. :) Its gonna be a great production (Keeping my fingers crossed)
