This self-righteousness in this thread is getting out of control. As had been stated before by people that were there that this was just all in good fun, late at night in a poolhall/bar, in a non-sanctioned "2nd chance" event that was open to all ladies, and that all of the money was put up by the owner. If the WPBA plans to have events such as this in establishments which serve alcohol they should expect some atypical behavior compared to a regular WPBA event.
These girls were cutting loose and having fun on vacation after both had been knocked out much earlier than either wanted of an event they used their own hard earned money to attend & support. This entire event transpired in a matter of a few minutes with nearly everyone enjoying the harmless entertainment until what appears to be a few people overreacted to the situation.
Yet some people would have the audacity to say that these players, who have worked very diligently for years to improve their games and get on the WPBA tour, should be heavily fined or banned. That thinking is small-minded, self-righteous and ignorant. People should not judge someone for who they are for what amounted to 10 minutes of harmless fun. Are we that sexually oppressed as a society that this small event should generate such a critical response? Obviously so.
To say that this will have any affect on the WPBA's image is ridiculous. The WPBA should be embarrassed that these ladies have worked so hard to join their tour only to find it in complete disarray because of politics and pettiness. One of the things I have always respected about womens pool is that most are very supportive of one another regardless of the competiveness. It's obvious there are some ladies that do not fit into this convention. Most likely this is the reason why the WPBA is in the situation it is.
This thread should be closed down to prevent anymore unwarranted petty self-righteousness and gossip which might affect these ladies careers.
I hope you don't have children.
If that was your daughter playing pool in her bra in front of alot of people with men cheering her on, would you still be happy about it.
