Charlie Williams Vs the USA

Half of you don't know squat about Charlie's game. I'll bet on Charlie against the list, one at a time, winner break, no tournament BS, and lets see. Not saying he will beat all of them, but I will be on top of the money.

Charlie barely even plays pool, yet consistently takes down world beaters in almost every event he plays in. He may not win events, but he finishes in the money more frequently than most of the players listed in this thread.

Calm down. The question was what American "could" beat Charlie. Not what American would beat him in a long race or even consistently.

So from this thread y'all only think Charlie is top 50 in hte USA. I think he's in the top 10 for sure and if you played all around he's in the top 4 with JJ, Schmidt, and Harriman.

Depends on your definition of "all- around".

I think a modern day all-around should be like the DCC format. In that type game I think there are many players that would love to play Charlie W.

Hell there are some players in the south I know he will not play ..

Oh i know that he came down my way with a female player for china , she matched up . He was asked to play some cheap 200 dollar sets .. HE SAID NOPE ..
Tournments he playes good , For the cash hmmm . when he came to the dirty south.. He did not play a nobody...
good luck backing him for the cash you can go broke ..
 
Not a fan, but I think Charlie has the best of it against all shortstops and some low pros. He's beaten some notables in tournaments, but if they played all day, I wouldn't be betting on him.
 
I don't personally know CW but i would love to see thw people on here trash talking him put their money up and play him! Just because he doesn't play for the cash doesn't mean he can't play. Most of the European players don't play for the cash either. CW has accomplished more in this sport than most on this forum ever will!

I'm with you on this.

I am always surprised with how well he plays, given that he spends so much of his time promoting and running events.

I don't watch much rotation but see his name up high in a lot of the tournaments. He has beaten John Schmidt twice in straight pool events. He came within a few balls of taking out Thorsten Hohmann in the Straight Pool World Championship last year and beat Oliver Ortmann in the early stages of that event.

Not too shabby.

Mikey stop it..How did u ever pass a drug test for work...He is a top american straight pool player but unfortunately that doesnt get much play...All around say 10 ball..1 pocket..banks...ewwwwwwwwww u dont wanna see that list...

And for the record im not bashin CW..Im just stating who I think can beat him...
