Congrats Brandon, the new Kent Davis cue is working out
Just wondering if Brandon requested the Steel-jointed sleeve or that's what Kent made for him because that's what Kent wanted Brandon to use?

Why didn't you enter the tournament? The fans want to see you bad on the scene!I was talking to a friend of mine last night who is there, and we both agree that this tournament is being run the way all tournaments should be run, and that's with no seeding. You draw into whoever you draw into and then wing it from there.
Kahonies to Brandon for beating Earl on the TV table. I'm sure that will be highlighted in his career. Good shooting, Kid, but let's remember that Earl ain't the same Earl that is used to be. He might think he is, but he's not. Earl used to run fives and sixes every tournament match that he played back in the '80s. I don't see it anymore.
I do like the no seeding. Heard Johnny Archer went 8-nothing first round. It gives you a reality check. Everybody starting out even is the way it should be. Nobody should get a head start.

The match you and earl had in 1988 dayton open,it was a tremendous match,if you watch it again there were no more then 2 or3 at the most racks ran in a row,but it was the best match i have ever seen!Keith i do believe earl has run 5and6s alot ,but not every match.
plus, of course, it is harder to run a bunch of racks playing 10 ballHe might think he is, but he's not. Earl used to run fives and sixes every tournament match that he played back in the '80s. I don't see it anymore.

Keith,
I've heard of those five and six packs back in the day. In recent years, I seldom see five and six packs FROM ANYONE, in major tournaments.
Is the talent level that much less or is the equipment/table difference or something other, which makes the five and six packs look like something only from the past?

If I were a player I'd prefer no seeding as well. Especially if I was a middle to lower seed. However, as a fan I'd want my hero still in the tournament towards the end.
