1. The newest versions have a different subrail design- is that correct?
2. And what differnce does that make?
3. And the Diamond logo on the head rail has a blue field rather than a red field- is that correct?
They have redesigned the rails a bit. The new rails with the blue logo have been designed to bank a little longer than the older red logo rails, and to play a little less "springy".
Diamonds newer tables have a beefed up frame, built in leveling system and a few other design upgrades along with ones people have already posted here'

So how will a bank play on a new Diamond as compared to a Brunswick Tournament Edition GC V?
Thanks.
Can anyone get a manual explaining how Diamonds are built and how to set them up? I don't want to do any setting up, just understand the construction and how it's done.

I'm not a mechanic but I haven't seen the answer to your first question yet and I can tell you what I understand from having read about it here.
The chief change in the new tables is there was a change in the way the cushions are oriented to the playing surface. The cushions, cushion height, and cushion profile are the same.
Again, this is my understanding. Hope this helps.
When I redesigned the rails for Diamond, I lowered the back of the cushions to be more in line with the nose of the cushions in order to make the cushions less springy and to bank more true. To do this I cot down the sub-rail thickness from 1 3/4" to 1 11/16"ths then raised the nose height back up to 1 29/64"ths...so I didn't change the nose height at all.

Its that simple?:grin-square:

Soooo...... can an older diamond be reworked, or would that be cost prohibitive? My table is almost three years old. When I redesigned the rails for Diamond, I lowered the back of the cushions to be more in line with the nose of the cushions in order to make the cushions less springy and to bank more true.
