ABP- the difference between pros that play for a living

I guess they think us little people dont get it . Let me sum up my thoughts. The title says it all.play for a living. I dont know about many on this forum but i WORK for a living. Get up at 5:30 every morn. work til 4:00,go home relax a little after looking at bills. maybe PLAY in my league night. go to bed and start all over the next day. yeah were a lot different than them. i think we outta boycott there ass . oh wait . thers nothing to boycott, no tour ,no nothing.

I may be wrong here and I'm not going to search every thread and every post to find it. Didn't the first post from ABP state that the account was available to several, if not all, ABP members? So we may be getting several different people posting comments? Is that ok with Mike and the moderators?

I don't think,no wait, i know thats not what i said. i'm happy with my life . a certain poster for them[we know these posts are not all from the same person]is the one coming on here telling us we dont know how hard they have it. no ones s aying it isnt a tough road but it is there choice.

May I respectfully request why it is important that you know who is posting? You had posted to me one time that you wanted to keep your identity a secret. It's okay. I understand why. I wish I had kept my identity a secret, too. It would have saved me a lot of headaches and hurt feeling.

I'm just curious why somebody who wants their own identity kept secret would request somebody else to expose their identity. :smile:

There are advantages to posting under an alias, I think. There are also advantages to posting under your own identity. I guess members need to choose which one is appropriate for them, I think.

Hello Jam, and first let me say I respect your opinon and enjot reading your comments. However, I agree that the posters identity in most threads would not matter, however, in a thread like this where for some reason the parties involved decided to make this into a public spectacle anyone from the opposing camps should identify themselves if they are expected to taken seriously.

For all we know this person could be someone not involved in any way just trying to stir the pot.

Its enough for all of you to know this is coming from the top pro players in the sport. The players who's side you should be on.

This is a joke without knowing your identity. You are digging a large hole for yourself now. There is only one person I know of that posted here in the past and he only came on when he wanted something as is the case now. I can only speculate who you are . but using this forum might hurt you more than it helps.

You have to keep in mind the context and current happenings that led to that post. You have to keep in mind that it was a post made on a thread where the pro pool players are in effect telling the fans they don't know WTF they are talking about as those very pros are attempting to probably destroy the best tournament the USA has.

It was not a random "lets attack the pros" thing, it was a "WTF are you taliing about" post that is in response to pros that started this whole mess, and the fans are simply reacting to a very negative situation in this sport that the fans sure as heck did not create.

I have always had big respect for Cleary,but he lives in a bubble as do a lot of other posters.
This is their bread for the table. One statement was.....Well its not like they are working hard...WTF? That sounds like a jealousy statement,oh wait.
Why would he be jealous?.Like he told the current US Open champion at the time..I make more money than you,I have a hot wife da,da,da. Pool is not
easy work.It is a hell of a lot easier to sit at a dam keyboard.
Point is, let them look out for each others welfare. cause they are not getting paid to just show up and smile and shake hands. To think Pro pool is not hard work and stress is plain ignorance

You're post is so far out of line. You do not know me or know how much respect I have for pool players including Mika. In that video, we were messing with each other... talking trash. I meant no disrespect to him in anyway and he knows it. Mika had some laughs at my expense too. It was all in good fun. Mika plays in the same home room as me and we see and talk all the time.

You act as if I've never picked up a cue. I understand how hard it is and how much work goes into it. Do you know how much work goes into "sitting behind a keyboard"????? You have no idea how much work I put in to get where I've got in my life/career. I'm self taught, didn't go to college for this. I've put in more all nighters "sitting behind a keyboard" than a lot of pool players. I've worked my ass off so please don't act like you got any kinda cue as to what I do.
