Either that, or he's trying to off the cue as quickly as he can in the "Wanted / For Sale" forum... :p

Do you think this is true?

A local player have recently found a cue that someone left during a tournament and he is planning to keep it or sell it. He would have to sell it to someone out of town or a pawn shop.

I don't think he should do something as stupid by selling it....it's expensive. I told him to keep it and play with it.

I won't mention the cue, so I can uphold my integrity because the founder, said he want it to be a private matter and he just adores how the cue shoots.

I love it as well but I just don't like the idea of buying this cue because it weighs 19.8 ounces. If it was 19 ounces I would buy it in a heartbeat.

What should he do?

No I don't think this is true. I think you're a TROLL. Coming in here making up a story so stupid that a brain dead junkie would not believe. All you're doing is stirring the pot trying to get an emotional reply from people here. Get a life! Quit using AZ as you're playground!

Since this thread is already at the top:

This is an obvious troll thread from a repeat offender.

Do not feed the trolls. If no one replied to the trolls' threads, they would just slip quietly down the board to be quickly forgotten.

Its his fault he's a troll, but its our fault he is successful.

thats what i've been saying. He's just throwing shit on the wall to see what will stick.

Lately, my head starts to hurt when I read this some of the $hit people post on this forum.
:banghead:

hmmm

we have no use for theives or trolls.

Kabong !!!!

Attention Dom Poopy: Mr. Wilson does the "thining" around here and don't you for-git it. KABONG... Ouch, that's gotta hurt !!

PS: Done u thin pocket point be mad at u for stealin his identity and being such a troll all over dee place??

Signed: Baba Looie

How stupid can someone be? A guy that "finds" stuff before it is officially lost then goes on a forum to basically brag about it.

hmmmm

He got hit with a Blackjack by Mr. Wilson, so I don't think that emitted a "Kabong!" sound. Rather, a dull thud(!), followed by another thud! :thud:

Did you see the guitar being held by the horse in Mr. Wilson's avatar. That is the famous Quick Draw McGraw, and when he hit the bad guys with it, the sound it made was "KABONG" His alter ego was El Kabong !!
This was an early 60's cartoon for you youngsters out there !!!!

Talk about a serious lack of integrity! If you have any poppa you will give this guy a good talking to today! And maybe you need to look in the mirror yourself. Keeping something that you know isn't yours is some really bad karma. Good luck to you and your friend! :(

Hey RJ you didn't need to splain that one to me, although I was partial to Ricochet Rabbit & the bing, bing, bing!!!

ChicagoRJ:

Actually, that cartoon ran into the early 70's, and yes, I remember it (I grew up on it, along with a lot of other long-defunct TV shows). I'm not as young as you might think. ;)

What I did want to do, and hopefully everyone "got," was to tie-in Blackjack, Mr. Wilson, and your "Kabong!" all together. You did get the blackjack thing, right? (The link I previously provided should help.)

If that was clear as mud, I apologize. I personally think the OP deserved more a "tap o' the blackjack" than merely a "Kabong". A knockout with one swing, and that was achieved!

P.S.: I have avatars and signatures turned off, so I don't see them.

A couple of quickies. Shane lost a match a while back and walked off leaving his cue behind. I saw it sitting there after the match and wondered when he was coming back to retrieve it. He never came back, so I held onto his cue. I toted it around with me the rest of the day. Finally that evening Shane came prancing down the hall, cueless! He gave me a big smile and said "Thannns," in that wonderful accent of his.

Another time at DCC several years ago, I got challenged to play by a whole slew of young guns - Disco, Roy, Easy, Willie and a couple of others. We played One Pocket for $10 a game and I ended up winning like six or seven games in a row (P.S. It wasn't easy!). Happy days until the next morning when I checked my case and saw that my playing cue was not in it. My Josey was missing! I had left it in the AZ room and now I was worried that it was gone.

Not 15 minutes goes by and I get a call in my room. It's our man Scott Lee and he tells me that he has my cue, and I can pick it up from him anytime. I met him later for breakfast and all he would let me do is buy breakfast for him. Thanks Scott, I haven't forgotten. This is a man with integrity, all he wanted was to return my cue to me. And he asked for nothing in return.

This is how decent people behave. Especially fellow pool players should recognize how important our equipment is to us. It often comes very hard earned.

My ladies league partner gets distracted and will often walk out with an empty case, her cue still leaning against the wall. It's all good, I normally have a case big enough with me during leagues that when it happens, it goes home with me. When she gets it back the next week, it is often clean, ding-free, and fully conditioned...LoL!
