I still can't believe that this happened. It's been like a bad dream for about 5 days now.
Trying to play pool isn't even a thought. Too much pain everywhere. I can't even tell where it hurts the most.
The good news is I'm trying to quit the percocet today. Still alot of pain but those pills are really bad for your health. I'm breaking out here and there on my body and I'm sure it's from them.
Today was the first day I actually could sleep some. I finally feel a little more normal because of the sleep.
I hope many people read this thread and don't make the bad decision that I made. I thought I was safe because the tires were still on but when it's jacked up about 1 1/2 feet higher than normal and the whole thing goes tiiimmmmbbbbeeeerrrrrrrrr the whole body almost touches the ground.
I learned a big lesson. Had I known what I know now this would never have happened. Fortuanately I had the opportunity to learn here from my mistake. So many other people were not so fortuanate.
As far as pool goes I don't know yet. My shoulder, chest, ribs all seem to not fit together real good right now. I even have trouble brushing my teeth but I'm alive. I was going to play in thesew great tournys down in Beloit,Wi the next 2 weekends but I can say for sure that it won't happen.
I just hope I can get back to work and keep rolling with my teaching and traveling around the country. If i can do that I guess it would be huge.
Just have to see how it plays out here. Moving slow but I'm moving. Breathing careful but I'm breathing. It only hurts right now when I breath or move. :crying::rotflmao1:
My plans are going to be set back a week or 2 for sure. But I still plan on getting on the road again traveling from pool hall to pool hall teaching and playing again but I have a change of heart though about this motorhome business.
I need to work real hard as soon as I can and get sell the motorhome I have right now. I need to buy one that is newer and bigger and is more like a home. Plus I need one that has built in hydrolic jacks that work.
Where there is a will there is a way and that is one thing i still have is a will.
And if i have anything to say about this whole thing my plans WILL still happen.
Thanks everyone for the kind words here on the forum. I see players all the time wishing players to get well and recover from this or that. It really does mean alot when your on this end of the stick to hear that you guys care.
Thanks again geno..........
As my old buddy Terry J. used to say, "We're all gonna die some day, but there's no reason to speed it up!" I'm glad you're on the road to recovery Geno. TAKE YOUR TIME! Don't rush it, let your body heal even if it takes months! I doubt the healing process will go as fast you think. Just ask our buddy Terry Ardeno. Take the Winter off and get well. Pool will be there when you come back.
