AZB can rest easy. I didn't win the Cajun Classic.

Good seeing you in the booth, Troy. You may have a new career ahead of you.
Lock,
Thanks for sweating the Cajun Classic at Buffalo Billiards. Hope it was fun to watch in this time of sorrow. I'm sorry for the loss of your dad. I know you will miss him but you have many extended family members who care about you.
Gene,
I want to thank you for the phone lesson as well as the priceless information you gave me during and just prior to the tournament. Anyone who says your information is false is a GOOF. I played my best pool ever and a major part of it was the information you shared with me. Get well and come out swinging. I would love to learn more from you to improve my game further and I know that you know things that many of us don't. Hope to see you in the future and learn more about PERFECT AIM.
Lol. I was eating and drinking a little better at this tournament.
Thanks Rufus!
 I tried.
Thank you for the kind words. ANYONE CAN IMPROVE THEIR GAME. It takes a desire to improve yourself not just by acquiring knowledge but time on the table and discipline/persistence.
Thanks JMuck!
Thank you Hollywood. It is true that when I play I think about all of the people who visit this forum and that I want to express to them through my game, that anyone can compete. There is no shame in losing. Success is temporary if you are only counting the win. Success is defined by making gradual improvements in your overall game. Anyone can improve their game and I urge everyone to attend and play in tournaments to test yourself and have the time of your life.
The cash was nice but it was the journey that gives me the greatest satisfaction and that's not just words. It's the truth.
Thanks Jay. I had some incredibly good rolls, a good draw, and a couple of matches that I played good and a couple where my opponents just never played up to their potential.
Thanks GingerBread Man. I'll catch up with you one day.
;-)
Brian,
You bring up my best shot of the entire tournament. That two rail kick was all Joe Villalpondo who has the pool instructional videos at
www.pooliq.net. I regularly practice this two rail kick and I knew I could get close to hitting the five ball but I actually thought it was my ONLY chance of winning the match and planned on pocketing it. I kept measuring the two rail kick over and over counting the diamonds. Adjusting for the position of the five ball. I kept thinking that their must be a better way to shoot this shot and I thought of all of the options and finally settled on Joe V's two rail kick system and I went all in. It was my best shot of the tournament. I had plenty of bad shots during the tournament but this one made up for all of those. Unfortunately for Robb, the table rolled off a little and when he made the right decision to shoot the five ball with speed, he jarred the pocket and I was able to finish the game. Thanks for noticing that particular shot.
