What I know is this, Pool, is considered a game, at best, by anyone who even bothers to consider it at all, in the general public.
In the Art world, any reaction to a painting, is considered a good reaction! It means your at least paying attention to the painting and thinking something about it. Whether it's Cy Twomby, or an old world master like Vermeer, they understand patronage in the Art world, unfortunately, that's never been the case with the promotion of this sport!
Pool, is ignored at best, right now in the U.S.A.! Most people in the know realize pro pool is in danger of disappearing altogether in this country, if something doesn't make a positive change, and soon!
Now, as to comparing the recognition of Earls name to that of a mass murderers? Well that's sacrilege to the 5 U.S. Open nine-ball tournaments he's won, alone! Not to mention the personal insult, as well as, the slander to the man's accomplishments within this sport as a whole!!! As for accomplishments? Those five Open wins don't begin to cover all of the laurel's he's accumulated from all over the globe, he's a living legend!
Like it or not, he's the greatest influence on how modern pattern-position play is executed. Earl alone, changed the way the modern game of rotational pool is played.
Those are not opinions, dude, just facts!
If the use of the word, dude (when referring to the likes of you, and the opinions you've expressed), makes me "seem" a redneck, well, it must be a "farmers tan!"
p.s. I'm quite sure your right, I don't understand the intricacies of being mentally challenged the way you do!
