Open Offer to Danny Harriman and John Schmidt from TAR

You know that's why the show got canceled, right? PETA folks were protesting it, because they had 3 horses who have died. It wasn't because of them being abused or anything, but the PETA clan think that animals should not be used for entertainment. At least that's what I read.

As for Danny, if he has a real job, and don't wish to play, thats his decision. Regular money, should always come first. I have left tournies after winning the winners bracket, because I had to go to work. One of them was worth an extra $1000. I took the 2nd place dough and went to work like I was supposed to.

Did you ask the other player if he wanted to split first and second place money?

Of course, Eric Clapton said *the* best guitar player he's ever seen in his life was none other than Stevie Ray who, by the way, never knew how to read music. It was all done by ear. How about this one ---> JAM!

Oh, man, check out that guy on the ivories! WOW!

Another nice selection JAM. One of my all time favs is Bobby Bland. This concert was in Memphis where Bobby called Bobby Rush and Johnny Taylor onto stage in the middle of the show. Quality vocals seamed to be the norm back in the day

We got a local group who's known everywhere in my neck of the woods. I can't tell you how many of their concerts I've seen ----> Nighthawks!

My best friend used to live two doors up from the Nighthawks. She was a hair dresser and cut their hair. I remember when Johnny Winter stayed at their house. Me and my friend were hoping to catch a glimpse of him all day long. LOL

Yes, early is right. Some reason I never really got into Sonny Boy. I dig Wolf. My all time fav blues guitar with strong vocals is Freddie King. Check out this live from the Sugar Bowl

Schweeeeeeeeet!

My favorite band during my rock era of my life was Mountain with Leslie West. He had to have his leg amputated last year, which saddened me, but he's still out there jamming. Here's a little old Mountain, one of my favorite Mountain Tunes ---> Theme from Imaginary Western.

thats a good observation u have made about danny, he could find some tiny thing to blame on u and no show. i say each player post say 2000 and u get that back at end of match win or lose,if u no show for any reason u forfeit the 2000. im willing to do that so u r protected.

John,

From what little I've seen in this thread, you come across as a reasonable person, and a PROFESSIONAL! Sounds like there are not enough people like you in the pool world. You come on here in public and say to Justin's *generous* offer, "Sure, let's do it!". Danny sends a private message about some perceived insult and tries to up the ante for TAR, effectively skating out of the match. Lame...

You have my respect sir.

Yea...he got jokes fa sure...He use to have a camp cross lake Decade...A bunch of us use to go hang out there & get drunk n cut up with him...this is over 20 years ago..havn't talked to him in a couple years....I think he still has his camp...He use to play the guitar sometimes too...some of the best I've ever heard from him was @ the camp....Good times for sure !

KMRUNOUT, how dare you hijack Jam and Hungarian Nut's blues guitar thread like that.

Haha! Actually if it helps, I LOVE blues guitar and play myself. To get back on topic, check out this MASTER of the electric blues guitar. His name is Peter Parcek, he is a Boston local. This guy is a total beast. This is a little Freddie King tribute. Starting at 1:46 is some super human solo guitar work. I've seen him MANY times. I've also seen many of the all time greats of the guitar live, and I can confidently say that he is as good as ANYONE. ymmv. Enjoy!
