I use light car wax. do not put them in the dishwasher or the kitchen sink with hot water, I found that a soft flannel buff cloth and some light car wax works well.

It's Bush League at best, and that's a stretch.
I second this suggestion. I made my own with about $55 worth of materials from home depot and it wrks great!
There is a great thread here with a step by step process. Very easy to make.

I thank the rest of you for your informative reponses. as do my clean balls.
A little powder in your shorts will help with that.

The best way I can think of is to rent my Girls!!!!!!
They will clean your balls right the first time!!!!:smile:

the set shown below was stinking filthy dirty.
ciggarette tar, magic marker, blue chalk, red chalk, something else and something else.
i washed them using hot water, clorox liquid bleach and lemon dish detergent.
they are now incredibly clean but very, very dull.
the colors are vibrant and strong, the finish is undamaged and like new.
when i have time i'll polish and glaze the ball set, i've used this method 100 times (probably more).
added the 2nd photo after 5 minutes worth of polishing.
i beleive the method i'm using, the method i've been using is a good one.
