I also think they are great people to deal with, I sell there products and they do build good cues

Adam's Balabushkas and Helmstetters. I never used a Mezz but it must be good too...since Mezz is made by the same people that made the Adam cues!

My player now is a Tiger by Jacoby cue. I love the Tiger shafts and have a Tiger shaft that will fit any cue I own. Including production cues. The Icebreaker 2 is hands down the best J/B cue I have ever used. The Icebreaker tip also makes it legal in any tournament!

Just to be clear I own a Pool Hall, that has a retail stored with in it and I have carried all the production cues you can imagine along with cases and a large number of accessories, I normally have around $10,000 to $20,000 in inventory and all that is production products. I also have agreements with other custom builders and I sell their cues on commission based upon the prices they set. I also have a custom shop attached to my pool room where myself and a good friend build custom cues and conversions do all repair work from new shafts to complete refinishes, and we do basic repairs while the customers wait, such as tip, ferrules, and wraps along with many other simple repairs.

However, I am no longer a dealer for Meucci Cues, and I have not sold their products for almost five years. When I would place an order for $1000 or $2000 worth of cues directly from the factory I would have to return between 25 and 30 percent because they were defective. Then it would take months to get replacements, in my opinion their customer service sucks and with this happening to me a dealer the lowly customer was really getting screwed so I could not support that and never will again. It is my loss because people still ask for Meucci cues until I tell them the horror stories that have happened to me and my customers in the past.

Good luck with your business, I mean no disrespect I am only offering an opinion based upon experience nothing more.

Do you have an alarm system?

I just picked up a nice plain Pechauer and love it!!
I really think it makes me a ball better:thumbup:

and remember, "If you think you are happy, you are!"

Do you have an alarm system?

Yes, and beleive it or not I also have insurance that covers any loss including Earth Quakes and Floods!!!!!

Isn't that how you would do business?

I mean Please help me out here, I await your responce with much anticipation!!!!!!

Craig (Manwon),

I want you to know that I do appreciate your feedback. I value your opinion, and I'm interested if you are willing to share more from your experience. Sometimes we all speak before we think, but I'll be the first to admit when I make a mistake. Any time I have a chance to learn from someone with more knowledge or experience benefits me. When I play pool, I seek out players that are better than me, because even if I lose, I learn from my mistakes. I'm not new to business, nor am I new to billiards, but my billiards business is relatively new. I don't have a large stock of inventory, but hopefully someday I will. I'm building slowly from the ground up. I prefer to talk to customers one on one, and will continue to do so as long as I can. I'm always open to suggestions, unless someone suggests that I give up. Your experience and expertise is a valuable resource that can benefit those like me who are willing to listen. I'm glad you took the time to speak your mind, and I look forward to hearing more from you.l

If you are ever in the area please stop by, I enjoy your posts and would enjoy meeting you. I can show you what security really means, I think you would enjoy that also, in fact it may surprise you how far I have taken the security of my business.:D

Take care

I plan to be in Coos Bay, Oregon in June. But it seems like a 5 hour drive to your place. Does that seem about right? I'm still thinking about making the drive if I can get away from the relatives.

That sounds about right, if you can find the time please stop by!!

Have a great day

I'll try to make it.
But on the subjet of custom cues. I have a cue made by Terry McFadden.
I bought it used and it was made to someone elses specs. But pretty much a normal cue-58" and 19 oz and nothing special.
It was made by one man in his shop. Is it still considered a "custom" cue?

Obviously Bruce, you consider it a custom (so do I). It has the word "custom" right after its name in your signature line ;)!!!

Maniac (1-man shop is as custom as custom gets, imo)

I have (and love) my Viking G14. Nothing too flashy or expensive but does its job. I also have a Dufferin sneaky pete that was made by Al Romero at hard times. I guess technically it was production at one time.
