Made these with Jeff Prather ROSEWOOD Full Spliced Blanks...
Let me tell you, making cues is a lot of work... :embarrassed2:
I gave up 'cause it's too much work.....
All have matching Cue Caps on top...
Love your Cuemakers!!!!
They go thur a lot to complete a cue....
So many things gotta go right.....
Here is a Dale Patten made with a Gus Szamboti Blank. Dale's brother in law was big time player Richie Florence. Dale made the Richie florence cues. Dale also made a small number of customs using Gus Szamboti blanks. By the time I spoke with Dale he had stopped making cues, around 1997 and had one finished but never put the tips on. That be this one with rosewood points and buttsleeve.
This is Bob Manzino's first mitered veneered box cue.
Bob described it as Mint with Chocolate.Brazilian Rosewood, ivory, Abalone, rose gold. I am so very happy with the cue, I wanted to share some of the pics.
The work is very tight and perfectly executed. It also plays great (yes I have chalked it ,and played with it). A close friend said it is the best playing Manzino he has ever hit a ball with(he has a few).
I know this is a very special cue.
I am very fortunate that Danny agreed to make a cue for me to the very specs I wanted. The veneers are old maple and pear wood . The rosewood is over 70 years old. Original Cortland for the wrap. The cue plays just like it looks- beautiful. Thank you Danny for a very special cue.
Yet another stunning cue in your collection. I'm very impressed with your taste in cues. Each one an absolute gem. Congrats on your Tibbitts, braz on braz like the one you are having built here.
