Quick question for Djay Customs and TheCueCollector

I have known Djay for a few years now and made several deals with him on here and on another forum. He has never been anything but a stand up guy, and I have no reason to doubt him. His friend (who I KNOW is staying at his house) is obviously a bit of a numpty though!!

Also, if you take a look back through Djay's items he has sold, his prices are always extremely competitive, so I don't see why he would need to have someone bump his threads for him. He normally sells his cues / cases within just a few days.

I would say ban cue collector for being stupid and let Djay back on, he is one of the good guys!

^^^^^^
That's a true fact. I might add that DJay makes one of the finest designs for the JB cases. IMO.
Anyway if it's true that someone is trying to get rid of JB cases here, than I'll put the link in my sig to see what's happening...
Thanks

Djay seems decent. I did always wonder though, why his threads were aleays in the front page when he had something to sell....now we know.

djay is 100% in my book also. Done countless deals with him and he is nothing but a stand up guy. I feel there is more to it than first appears because djay is not lacking in computer literacy, he is a computer wizard so will have been fully aware of the ip address issue. I for one accept his version of events and suggest he is reinstated forthwith.

Problem is the 48 hr rule is bs. For the people that have it worked out with their friends to bump their threads it is ok. For the ones that go by the rules and after the first 12 hours you are now on page 3, it sucks. And it seems to me that some are held to the rule while others arent. Not naming names, but I saw a thread get bumped 3 times in a 24 hr span of time by the seller and nothing. I listed a cue for sale. Got a question about it. To avoid answering a bunch of pms about it I answered in the thread. I bumped it from line 3 to line 1. It got pulled. 48 hrs is too long. Personally, I think 24 hrs is about right. Then there are the ones that have 15 threads and once every 2 days you see a whole stack of their items for sale. And what happened to only selling used equipment? Seems like the rules are there but not quite being followed by all. But that is just my .02.

100% agree here,

the deals i had with Djay had been superclean and super easy. Recommend him to everyone. There s no point for him to *hunt for bumps*.

I don't often feel I'm "in the wrong" with things that I say or do...my ex-wife will attest to that...

However, when I feel I am wrong about something, I will admit it...I jumped to the conclusion this morning that once again we had a case where someone who seemed to be a "good guy" turns out otherwise and I proceeded to make a very smarta$$ comment about what the Moderator posted...

I received an email from Djay...and I did apologize to him for my jumping to conclusions...so, I will also apologize publicly to Djay as he has been nothing but good and decent to me in the past!

Although Djay has been a stand-up guy and the dealings I have had with him have been perfect...the rules here are THE rules. Participation in this forum is a privilege and not a right. A word of caution, be very careful posting links in his behalf! It could also get YOU banned. With that said, I'm sure he'll be back, maybe when things pickup a bit, then people will NOT find it necessary to bend the rules! I only hope that this forum is a level playing field and rules will be applied as vigorously to the elite dealers who seem to bend the rules everyday without repercussion! j/s

Djay is one of the nicest guy's in the dutch poolworld and like many others already mentioned he's a stand up guy when you deal with him .

I have absolutely no dog in this fight what so ever, but I can attest to witnessing "witch hunts" and "mob mentality" frequently...and I'm not pointing fingers at anyone...just a general observation over the last couple of years of hanging around here.
There's obviously always going to be differences in opinion and conflicting personalities...but sometimes it just goes too far IMHO...
Clint<---Thinks and does for himself, no bandwagons to jump on...

It is difficult for the mods to police things...like a baseball ump, around half of the fans are mad at you all the time.

I have had super smooth deals with Djay, and have no issues at all.

Still, it is difficult to accept that someone who is staying with him would "unknowingly" bump his ads. He had to see the ads and the bumps when he logged in. He should have told the friend to back off.

I also have had some Great deals with Djay and enjoy working with him . Hope he is back soon , In the meantime there is always the pool Cue Market . Jim

It's just really to bad that the few who have "abused" AZ have forced the mods to put these rules in place so some get caught up in this without trying to break the rules. As a collector its just as difficult to find cues with a "wtb"/"LTB" threads because of so much bumping. It all is about greed imo. To bad some act the way they do.

Just my 2 cents,Jonas

Djay is a good guy. I have had deals with him and will do so in the future. Still......it was obvious to me (and I'm not that bright) that this pattern was a shill. He did the crime and now he has to do the time. It does not make him a bad guy.

Happy fourth to all and stay safe!

Djay is a good guy and a man of his word.
I hope to see you back on here soon, Djay.
Best wishes, my friend.

Djay asked to link this.

Everyone read it

Sorry but this guy is delusional, even when caught he can't come completely clean and just be honest. Az certainly doesn't need some one like this as a member, it's only a matter of time before others start being taking advantage of.

I wish him luck and I hope he can learn from this mistake and change.

Hope, Djay can come quick back to AZ. I had several deals with him, everytime 100%. A man,who s deals are solid as a rock. Other guys from here eben doesn t answer,if i m interested in selling to germany,Not really nice...

i have seen alot of bumpping that is BS i wont name any names but i see 1 guy say i have a cue name the builder and say its a great gue and the next day the builder says thanks and bumps it and been doing this for awhile and no one says anything after seeing that i thought to myself i would never buy anything from either party

I don't know DJAY well but i know he's good with computer and I.T stuff. He has followed forum rules pretty closely and i'm sure he knows that Mods can detect similar IP users. So i doubt he will be that careless as to log in with another user just to bump a sales thread cos he if really wanted to there would be ways not to get caught doing so, such as VPNs and that i'm also sure he knows.

I can't vouch for him since i don't know him personally but i'm curious if the Mods spoke to Djay prior to the ban to hear him out?

I've no dog in this fight, simply analysing the situation as is. I hope it turns out for the best for everybody though.

I appreciate the administrator taking action when he sees something he feels is a violation. I also appreciate that perhaps DJ got caught in some cross fire.

What I don't understand is his notion that maybe he is being singled out because of his affiliation with JBcases. JB does whatever he wants on here. He gets banned but no problem since the jbcases-Mike account conducts his business on here anyway. And now JBMike is apparently going to be a permanent customer service department on AZB for JB's business. He has actually expanded his presence on here, all while he is banned.

DJ should just open another account, call it DJMike, and get back to business as usual.

Yep, that is how the rules bend for the elite dealers! I wonder why the mods cannot tell if JBMike's IP address is the same as JBCases' IP address?
