oh, i better not forget pete's wife joanna
i think she had a hand in choice of veneers

a month ago,
i was about ready to cut the forearm off and start over
one of those freaky tricks of mother nature,
a very ugly wierd shaped knot,
popped out right in the middle of one of the holly bflys
took a couple more passes on it, it appeared to be getting bigger
just my friggin' luck i'm thinking to myself :thud:

with only another 20/1000ths to go to final size,
i figured it was a goner
thank god, for once, the wood gods above gave me a break
i needed one
it turned out

really think the wood gods gave the break to pete & joanna, not me :p

no, just a hobbyist's compound taper
they may be 6 ouncers when the molten lead is added :eek:
or i could put the pin in shaft like brunswick used to do, does that count?
