I agree with a instructor would be best. However if the O.P. has no plans of taking lessons what's the harm.
I shown them to lots of new players. It's still part of my practice time and they ask what I'm doing.

Actually, most of the content there he developed himself or in direct cooperation with others. He is also good about giving credit were credit is due, unlike some other authors.Might want to check Dr. Dave's website. He has a lot of other instructors' content posted there for everyone's convenience.
