never heard about mother drills but in the Netherlands those would be:
the Ladder (Kinister) spinning the ball
brainwash tip-position/consistency
around the world cueball on rail/alignment

i wanted a copy of the drills before he came so i would be "better" at them
i was advised against that by randy

I agree with a instructor would be best. However if the O.P. has no plans of taking lessons what's the harm.
I shown them to lots of new players. It's still part of my practice time and they ask what I'm doing.
If you have them and are willing to share them, I would love a copy.
At least I would have a reference point for the times when they are discussed here.

I love my mother. She's gone now, but I thought the whole idea was to grow up & move out so you could get away from your mother nagging you to do your homework, clean your room, take out the garbage & things like that. My mother can no longer do the nagging but I have a wife that does it now. I love her too!
So... I have a question. If you get the 'mother drills' is your significant other going to nag you, 'have you done your mother drills today?, you better do your mother drills, hurry up dinner will be ready in about an hour' & after dinner, 'how many mother drills did you do before dinner?', oh that's not enough, you better do some more mother drills before bed time, I want you in bed by 10:00, then you can do your significant other drills, & if you do them correctly, you can out tommorrow night & play pool, but not until you do your mother drills first, now go to bed.
Just a little attempt at some humor. I'm sure the mother drills are a very good thing for practice. I would just rather play pool or play the ghost both ways, or...do my significant other drills.

Actually, most of the content there he developed himself or in direct cooperation with others. He is also good about giving credit were credit is due, unlike some other authors.

There was an error when the graphics guy did the first drawing which makes the text confusing. I have corrected the on-line PDF.
They are a nice set of drills to cover basic fundamentals with the assumption you are able to not only practice them, but recognize and correct when you are making mistakes. The drills + the lesson on them is a good way to go for sure...throw in a little video clip of yourself that does not lie and presto!
