Hi,

Thanks to John and Eric at Atlas for their excellent customer service.

About a year ago I asked John and Eric if there was any way for me to purchase sheets in .030 material to match their rings in all colors. In the past the white and other colors have not been available and when I made my billets I had to use some other material that I got from a luthier supplier in white but still no colors. The white I was using worked but did not match exactly. As we all know in cue making close is never good enough and I was frustrated.

After continuing my plea with them for a few months they made it happen and we can now match the stitches with the ring colors exactly.

Kudos to the best cue maker supplier in the business for listening and responding to a customer's request. If you visit their website these sheets are now there to match the rings!!!!!!!

I am making some ones at this time using the different colors to be used on some future cues. Viva la Atlas!!!!!!!!

Rick

The 2 rings on the left are rings I made using the new sheets. They blend absolutely perfect. The Pink Ivory ring on the right has the white material that I was buying from the guitar place. Night and day difference.

Billets made out of the new material in 4, 5 and 8 section geometry. I love it!!!!!

Now theres a big kick in the nuts!
Whats even more sad is you showed your fancy Process Control....so now the rest of the un-talented and uncreative can knock off your knock off.

Glad your happy Rick, I see the difference you speak of and it is good.
Now if we could get them to make black that is really black all the way thru, on every order you place, and white that doesn't have black specks in it....just saying.
I do appreciate their attempt in this area, but it would be nice if they concentrated on fixing the problems they have, mainly the phenolic end of things(considering the price they charge) before introducing another product. I won't even go into their taps that aren't what they say they are.....among other things.

Hey Jake,

PM sent!!! You missed the point as is par for the coarse in your case from my perspective. Please explain how praising a vendor for good behavior is a kick in your nuts.

The only thing that is sad is your need for rude behavior. I hope you now feel better about your self, IMO you look like a Jackass here for no good reason!!

Be proud of yourself as the world is watching your pitiful behavior!!!

BTW, this post was for sharing industry info with cue makers about a new product line. Are you a cue maker or just a nosey neighbor without a clue who does not know how to mind his own business? LOL, I think the latter!!!

Hey LGSM3,

Go **** yourself your self you asshole.

BTW eat some shit also!!! LOL

If it takes a pic of a billet for you to figure out a process you are doubtless a real moron.

Rick

Maybe after you explain your inspiration for the ring design, you can then explain to the world your charming personality.

Its also very doubtful this was a plug for Atlas, and more likely an oppurtunity to be self promoting as usual. Regardless, the vast majority of folks here no how you are so there really is no explanation or response needed.

Why are you so bitter????

The post is sharing methods and suppliers........... Perhaps we get less of this on the forum because of posts like yours.

Hi Rick. Can you point to which specific product on their site is new? I don't seem to know which material you are talking about after looking for it.

Jake,

Pm's are made to be personal. Now that you made it public let me turn it up a notch. LOL If you want to take it public that's your business I am not complaining. Do I think it makes you look like a horse's ass? Yes!!! But then you where the one who attacked me for no reason.

I don't have to explain anything to anyone.

BTW, you don't know me at all and for you to think you understand my motivations or inspirations in unconscionable and very stupid. Read the title of the thread, that my give you some direction.

What I do and don't do as a professional cue maker is my business and when you attack my lively hood you better bet your ass your going to get a nasty PM from yours truly.

If you think your are some kind of expert or something get over yourself. Your a wannabe or some reasonable faxcimally thereof. If I am wrong please tell me sport. Just what are you doing on ask the cue maker? Just making trouble or being a malcontent? There are some here that actually share info with their peers. Get it!!

John and Eric went out of their way to help me out and I wanted share it here. All the other cue makers who make any type of stitch ring will also benefit form this new offering. The pics were to show how great the materials look as opposed to using veneer rings.

Yeah, your right, I am the biggest self promoter you will ever meet. Life is too short not to be. Thinking that self promoting is shameful is poppycock. You are not forced to look at anything. I can't help it that you have such a low self esteem!! Like I said Jake, Go fXXK yourself!!!!! That's right!!!!!! Who are you anyway?, other than a hater for no good reason!

Your buddy,

Rick

Who doesn't like posting a few pics of their work.

Thats what the forum is in part for. If you want to call it self promotion, fine, nothing wrong with that.

Along with posting pics of his work, Rick also spends a fair amount of time helping out.

Unfortunately not many left because they have to take flak like this.

i suppose you could
you gonna be the official "tester" ?
im too busy messin' around on az to try it, LOL

After Christmas when I start the next list on the wall. I just might try them. Do you think they will glue up ok and stay together?

This is going to STOP right now!!!

I can take a lot but for either of you to try to take my biggest self promoter title on AZ away from me somethings going to hit the fan.

Consider yourselves warned, carry on.

Yeah, he self promotes, but have you actually LOOKED at the stuff he creates? His guidance has helped me a great deal.

Well,

Unfortunately Jacob (LGSM3) was unable to explain the reason why he was so upset since he got banned and he did not exchange pm's with SCDIVETEAM, Rick is the one that used foul language on the thread.

Having said that, Jacob has created that unique ring work and has been using it for the last couple of years and I guess that the ringwork was so cool and unique and was seen by SCDIVETEAM at Little Kenny show.

Do not want to stir the pot or get banned I just think that Jacob had some very valid reasons to be upset. I would have been very upset as well...

I will let the pics to the talking. These cues are made by Jacob.
