Yup, many through choice.
Mr. Wilson,
You are normally spot on when bringing down the ban hammer. I disagree with this one. If a girl wants to play ball with the boys, she can't cry when she gets knocked to the ground. I disagree with Juice's choice of words, and would never use them myself, but there have been far worse exchanges here than this, with no ban warranted.
For what it's worth, John Barton was banned a while back because he was in constant confrontation, with several here. Jam has been doing a lot of the same lately with out revocation of her account, which is what has built this bubble. Juice was out of line certainly, but not to a point of banning him. I think a stern warning, or temp ban as what was initially done, would have more than sufficed. I don't think you should punish the man further because his friends have come to his support.
All of the above being said, I still think you do a better job than most mods/admins out there in the world of the internets. This will be my last post on this matter, and I'm OK with what ever you decide, after all you have the authority, not me.

Juice truly is one of the good guys. Yes, he used a word he shouldn't have but he did not mean it in a degrading way to wards females. Oh I see we can not voice out support for a friend that has been wronged. Or we get punished and he gets punished more. Lmao. You can ban me. I will always stand up for my friends. I have not done anything that warrants a ban.
Actually that isn't why I was banned. I have never been banned for being in confrontation with anyone.
I have been banned for using choice words against others (in retaliation to their instigating and defamation). Those were clear violations of the rules. Simply being in an argument is not a rules violation, unless of course that argument is due to harassing another member which IS a rules violation but which NEVER results in a ban that I have seen.
And I was banned by Mike for making a reference to another forum that need not have been made but was also taken a bit out of context.
The act of piling on even more punishment because of what someone's friends are doing is truly in poor taste in my opinion. But again it's not my website. This website belongs to Mike Howerton and Jerry Forsyth. They have appointed Dave Wilson to be the front line moderator and that's that. So whether you agree with Dave's actions or not until Mike decides to add more moderators or replaces Dave we will all have to just buck up and deal with it if we want to be here.
Unfortunately I can see this action leading to another exodus of good people away from AZB. Truly a bummer if that happens because some of them put up a lot of good posts and are good for keeping the pool pulse real on here.
I'd join you in protest fellows but I have a baby on the way and I need to be able to show off my cases. Plus I like it here despite the edgy situation with inconsistent application of the rules.

You can't decide to change a ban based on what people OTHER than the banned have done, that's just wrong.
When I was first reading this is in a response by someone I was expecting to see that you had shortened his ban, when I got to the part that you had made it permanent I had to take a double take.

That post has a lot of taste in it for sure. So if a guy uses the c word means he is a wife beater. It justs gets better and better.

i would agree too. in my opinion, most of the pool players that do post on here don't even know proper forum etiquette, since this is a FIRST web messaging board for MANY of them.
i'm close friends with Juice, but multiple threads do not need to be created - it's not really Pool-related. there really is no point in posting any kind of thread about this since ONLY the moderators have a say-so.

With that said, should Tate be banned....I don't think so.
JAM lit the fuse, watched the bomb explode, and is sitting back drinking her coffee watching the fray. Good move for sure.
I think the blood pressure is up and adrenaline is still flowing. After we all calm back down, we'll get back to the forums as normal. I'll be in NPR in case someone has to use the bat signal...peace
