JAM,
It hit me last night, the guys standing next to Keith is Bob. I can't recall his last name.
Ian
I will ask him when he rises and shines. I'm sure he will have a good answer.![]()
And we wanna know about the McCready/ Fusco game at DCC too!
uhh, please and thank you both!
What does Keith say? How does he describe it? At his first or second DCC, he was playing Jimmy Fusco for a reported 5 jelly beans according to the rail. That was the report. But nobody knew if it was 5 beans a man, or 5 was the whole shebang.
Has he seen it reported both ways (total vs per man)
{edit: Keith didn't play Fusco. Frost did. Keith took the cueball from them cuz he was using it earlier. See story below or click the arrow in the following quote field}
Freddie <~~~ would really like to know
Sigh... yes, the bet per man was 20 dimes. The match was 40 total
Can we separate different gambling games please? Paying by the game, it's 50 a game. In the end when you take it off the lamp, you better be taking off 100 or else you got shafted.
It didn't start with streams. And maybe you just didn't hear it.
Freddie <~~~ it's not about hype. it just is about clarification of the pot
Hey, maybe they can change it from "in the middle" to "on the lamp".

About the money amounts, it is okay to say there is a total of 40, 20 apiece, but to advertise it as 40, some people might think they're betting 40 each. A better way to phrase it might be to say that it's 40 guaranteed, and people can do the math from there.
According to the Brunswick corporate website, President Eisenhower had Camp David "furnished with not one but four Brunswick tables. Every President since Eisenhower—Kennedy, Nixon, Carter, Clinton—has used those tables."
During the 1978 Camp David Summit, President Carter had a pool table set up in Holly Cabin to provide some recreation for the participants over the 13 stressful days there.
President Obama played pool in the Holly Cabin during his birthday party in 2009 and after the G8 Summit in May 2012. The stained glass light fixture above the pool table is decorated with a navy anchor, flags, and "Camp David" in decorative lettering.
I wonder what kind of table this is, and the real question, to keep it on topic of the thread, can President Obama play one-hole? :grin-square:
JAM, that table sure looks like the identical "Fisher" I grew up playing on in the early 70's. It has the same round markings for each spot on rail and the plastic pockets look the same. The sheen of the finish even looks right. I have a hard time beleiving they wouldn't have a Brunswick though.
Does anybody know for sure, what kind of table it is? Maybe more picks....
Go back to 1988. $ game between RA and Danny D. It was billed as a $20K Challenge Match. It was promoted that way. Both participants put in 10K apiece. Those on the inside knew the score. Whats the problem? You cant equate your $50 money game with the perogatives of a promoter. This is business.
Tell me if you get a salary of $75K a year but the feds take $16K and the State takes $4K. Do you go around saying I make $55K a year to prospective clients or lenders ? No you talk about gross not net. This is the basis of negotiating and business.
For me either way you want to call it. It was a beautiful exhibition by Alex and a lesson for Scott
I await for the rematch.

Thanks Keith!!!I do remember that, Freddie. All the cueballs were getting beat up and caked with chalk. Some of them seem like they warped. But this particular cueball was a good one, and I wasn't going to give it up to Frost. I think I was mad at him about something, so I just stuck it in my pocket. He wasn't getting my cueball to play anybody. I mean, technically, it wasn't mine, but I made it mine.

In California, it's illegal to advertise a game like that. In the future, they should advertise it differently and maybe give 5 percent of the purse as a donation to a charity, if you get my drift. If I was fixing to play somebody for $50,000, I surely would not want the money amount that I was playing for addressed on this website.
What has been done is done, but it might be something to think about for the future money games.
