Like I said Jay its real simple.. If its Dennis' money I will accept it if not what you said to him didn't mean a damn thing obviously. Jay you are the ones showing your true colors and it is evidenced by other peoples responses on here not just mine. For you to blame Dennis' actions on american players because he learned it from them is an absolute joke.. I have many more friends than you Jay and I dont have to put them in tournaments and let them stay at my house to have them as my friend.
All you have to do is answer a simple question is it going to be your money or Dennis'? No need to dance around the question. If it is Dennis' I will accept it because it shows he knows he was wrong, if it is yours it just shows that he doesn't give two shits and he won't hesitate to do it again and I don't want the money. All that would be is attempt for you to save face for your buddy. Dennis just got 2nd place in the 9 ball tourney so the $ 350 should be no problem for him if he indeed gives a crap.
It is amazing that the only one on here defending Dennis is you Jay.. ALL of the PROS said what he did was the creepiest move they have ever seen especially by someone touted as the world's BEST MONEY player.. I guess it is easy to keep that title.. If hes in a close match just quit and you never lose. The guy has gambled all over the world so for you to use the "he didn't know what he was doing excuse is unbelievable" and " american players have quit on him so he learned it from us" are you serious Jay?
Now then you did make an offer but I want it to be Dennis' money not yours. You sending the money does not prove Dennis knows he was wrong and it wont stop him from doing again to someone else. If it is his money I will post a thread praising you for talking to and getting through to Dennis and if it is his money and everyone will know he knows he made a mistake and he wont ever be able to do it again. Its the safest thing for dennis anyway, if he did that to someone else they might have taken his head off.
Rob, he is on his way here tonight. I will ask him to give me the $350 to send to you. Once again, please read my original post one more time (#46). It's pretty clear that I NEVER excused Dennis' actions and did not "blame" it on American players. I told him that he was wrong for quitting like that and he should have either played out the match or made a more reasonable settlement with you.
I want to ask you one thing Rob. Why did you settle for $150 and not more? Did you just do that so you could come on here and castigate Dennis? It is beginning to appear that way to me. If you two had settled for $500 would you have felt the need to post about this on here?
You can continue your harsh tone with me if it makes you feel better. I was only trying to resolve a bad situation on your and Dennis' behalf. You seem to feel the need to twist my offer to you and make me look like the villain too.
As far as I'm concerned you should never have pulled the bet down from the light if you wanted him to continue. The money should have remained posted until you two had either made a settlement or continued. You grabbing the money showed bad intentions but someone made you have second thoughts and you gave Dennis back most of his money. You're no angel Rob so don't try to portray yourself as Mr. Innocent. Your reputation is well known in the pool community.
