OMG! I have an idea. This could ba hit or a massive miss

Mark,

Only people from third-world countries like New Mexico put beans in Chili. As a former Texan I wouldn't waste my spit on chili with beans in it.

Women and children like that stuff I hear.

I second that motion.

As another former Texan and the organizer of a Chili cookoff every year for the last 13 years, I must strongly caution you about the use of beans...

....and spelling Chili with two Ls.

Other than that, it's not a terrible idea.

I am laughing at some of the responses here and I expect some major jabs. HOWEVER, I still like the idea and hope to get some positive reinforcement at some point. Just think about it really the interviews, getting to know the players, Sharking each other while cooking Chili an woofing. It may need tweeking

Seriously if it were on a stream would none of you watch it? I love pool and cooking shows.

I like the idea of the pipe, whose turn is it? In New Mexico, we put chili ON the beans, as well as everything else. :D

Mark,

I sort of like it but....For the Chili Cook Off part it has to be a female that is associated with the players: Wife, Mother, Daughter Girlfriend, Sponsor (sponsor's wife, etc., Favorite waitress/bartender, hairstylists, etc. (We don't want a player cutting or burning their hand.)

Then the players can just sit & tell stories, etc. $1000 split between the female winner of the cook off & her player 'partner' & $1,000 goes in the kitty for the 'winning' player to choose the game & the competition. The other two play scotch doubles with their female associates for the other $500. The doubles first & then the final. Naturally the more the money the more the interest. This way everyone has a chance to make some money. Although the one chosen for the final match up & his female partner could come up dry if he losses.

Best Regards, Luck with iIt, & Best Wishes,
Rick

Being a Texan is the same as being a U.S. Marine. You never use the word "former" before either.

Once a Marine, always a Marine.

Once a Texan, always a Texan.

I do agree about the beans though!!!

Well guys and gals, I have to come up with 100 ideas to find one that will actually work. Just trying something outside the box to "Spice" things up a little :) Ah well.

I can only assume that beans in Chili is the result of poor breeding. Or perhaps being dropped on your head as a child. ;)

If I were in prison and this were on TV, and nobody could change the channel without getting stabbed,
I would probably watch this show <3

Mark, they just have nothing to do with each other and not even similar in any way.

I know, I guess the Chili idea was a way to capture some of these players in a different light and maybe get away from the pool table and have a little fun so Chili could be actually replaced by anything just seeing them away from pool makes a difference to how they are perceived.
