On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

Can we see a list of those names?

Same here...

JoeyA

Chris
Dee Adkins
Ryan Stone
Alex Olinger
Billy Thorp
Shannon Murphy
Timmy Heath
Danny Smith
Chris Szuter
Jason Miller

That list took all of 30 seconds to come up with, theres another 10 that might get there.....

I don't understand why they are playing on Chris's table at Players? You would think that they would at least play on a neutral table. Another point would be, Chris's best game is 10 ball on the big box, and Gene's is 9 ball on the bar box is my understanding. This doesn't seem like an even game to me. I heard a rumor that they might try to move it to Centerfolds. I was told that the best playing 9 foot diamond in Columbus is there? That would at least be neutral territory and a lot better scenery.

No chance any Diamond in Columbus plays as good as Chris' table...... Blue logo top and is tight (factory extended sub rails, no shims or gaffs). Always maintained by factory mechanics, no hacks will ever touch that table.

I've heard this same thing on the book of face and here. If anyone actually believes that Chris can't get there playing Gene BB 9 ball, stuff your pockets full, start driving here, walk in, stand on your head and bet whatever falls out.... But since that is Genes best game you'll have to bet a good number.

I have played on my table 3 times since jan
Gene don't care where he plays its a free roll

I feel like I'm watching Ali promote his fights with whomever. Good luck to both. No matter who wins, this is/has been the most entertaining promotion of a match in a long time.

I can say, that Gene would have a much better game playing on a barbox with the 8.

I think they are both just saying what they believe is the truth, but Chris is seeing this much more realistically IMO.

If you look at their average speeds this is not a good match for Gene at all. Gene is relying on hitting his top gear in order to have a chance here. With that he still needs Chris not to hit his gear in order for Gene to win. Chris sees this too and he is just being honest here.

Now why do you want to bring up reality?

Yes it has been
Should do 50 k on ppv

The funny thing is, that would only require 2000 people to buy the event pass. Which seems like such a small number, but I know it's not in the PPV world.

You'd think there would be 500 poolhalls alone that would buy a good grudge match to stream on a couple of their TV's. Then it's only 1500 single viewers.

I know it's none of our biz, but it would be nice if Bigtruck followed up on how many viewers he got. Not so we know how much each player made. Just to know if the grudge match back and forth is good for PPV, or just good for something to read for a week or two.

I understand that you and I and others are simply curious people. The truth is that how many viewers or how much money a streamer makes, is really none of our business. Sure, it would be nice to know but it's kind of like this. How many viewers would you think would be a good number? How many viewers do you think would be an unsuccessful number? Now, if he has more than "your number", he's getting rich off of the players. If he is getting fewer than your numbers, then he isn't making enough. The truth is that this information is his own private information.

If you want to know if a grudge match is good for PPV, all you have to do is wait and simply see if another one is done.

The thing about BigTruck and poolactiontv.com is the fact that he is not just a Live Streamer but he is a promoter of pool tournaments, people in pool and pool in general. He understands the nuances of effective promoting and does an excellent job of it.

Now if he can get my two pals, Schmitty and Harriman to come to the table, that's what I would call a grudge match. :D

Yah, it's rough. If the promotors are making money, people feel they're abusing the players, blah, blah, blah.

In this instance, even Ray doesn't know what he's going to make since all the $ is going to the players. He does know he's getting some jelly from the players, but I'm sure that'll be based on the entire take.

Only Ray knows how much skin of his is in this game based on his costs. He did mention that it's on his way to Beloit anyway, so it's not a special trip cross country. So those costs are down a little. But I'm sure Ray understands what his costs are. So let's assume this just for math sake.

$2k costs - Gas, travel, food, lodging, use of equipment, posters, Kamui tip givaways, etc.
So he needs 80 viewers to break even. Not sure if he's giving all take to the players, or all proceeds.

200 viewers = $5k. If it's proceeds to players, one then gets $2,250 and the other gets $750.

500 viewers (300 pool rooms buy the stream) = $12500. Proceeds to players would be $7500 to winner and $2500 to loser. Everyone is happy at that point as I'm sure the jelly would be nice.

I'd just like to know what is the average PPV number Ray normally gets. And if the grudge match increased those numbers.

My guess is that more people buy PPV today than they did 5 years ago simply based on technology to purchase/view and more ways to advertise (AZB, FB, etc). The more people that purchase, the lower price Ray or anyone else can charge. Lower prices in theory would increase number of purchases, etc.

Just my opinion.

Yep, Ray is jam up. He always has a place to stay when he's down my way.
He's good for pool and chicken dinners. I'm not curious about his take... I just wish Ray,Gene and Chris the best
They are good people and good for pool

I agree completely and hope to meet him next week in Beloit. Again, not interested in knowing his take. Just curious to know if the grudge match marketing threads on here increase biz more than a tourney, TAR, or anything else out there.

On set and behind the scenes with '14 Days - The Great Pool Experiment' Pennsylvania based participants, Joshua and Anthony. Why is this awesome? Several reasons, but mostly because Joshua's game is completely unrecognizable by the end of his 14 Days. Through his unquestionable determination, dedication and commitment, I have no doubt that Joshua will continue progressing as far as his pool dreams can take him.

This episode is a full 80 minutes in duration. In it, you'll learn what it takes to take your own game to the next level. You'll get a glimpse of Gene Albrecht of Perfect Aim and the great methods he teaches relating to dominant eye in pool and you'll understand more about the concept of '14 Days;' why its important and valuable to the pool community in general.

End post.

A great YouTube presentation almost 80 Minutes long. Gene Albrecht's teachings are also featured.

Thanks Gene

Thanks for watching.

John :)
