On May 15, 2012 the well respected northeast cue maker calls me to warn me not to give Zinzola anymore money, few days later Tony Z calls me to ask for a favor telling me how he and Steve * Tikkler * have some problem and see if I can help him out with the financial issues, I ask him how much he needs and his reply was $4000.00 suppose to paid Tikkler back and implied that would cover both of my cue order. keep in mind that I already had a pre-warning from another maker not to give him any more money but I try to be nice about it and agreed to pay for my first cue in full to help him out. Zinzola send another paypal invoice on May 21, 2012 which I send him the money to paid Tikkler back, 2 weeks later I find out he didn't pay Tikkler but took the money to go on vacation with his family. another member here * Jive * is my dear friend have an order with Zinzola but Tony keep giving us all the run arounds, by end of 2012 Jive decided to cancel his order and ask for his deposit back and told Zinzola to send me the deposit, sometime around Jan 14-25 Tony send a check in the amount of $700.00 using his WIFE bank check, at first I didn't think anything wrong with it and deposit the check to find out it will bounced, Zinzola calls me on Feb 1, 2013 in the evening when I was in Arizona with 2 well respected cue maker sitting right next to me to find out it was a fake check, he gave me some B.S story about his wife used the money etc...... told him he needs to make it right and few days pasted he did deposit $730.00 after a long conversation.
Sometime around end of March, 2013 I demand an answer from Tony about my order which he ask for 3 week extension, I told him we will talk 3 weeks later and than 1 extension after another with different B.S. excuses., On May 2013 he told me the cue is done and I ask for a tracking number, this MOFO SCUMBAG went into USPS to grab a fake tracking number to send me which the package was never send out, towards the end of May 2013 I demand prove of pic's the cue is being done, Zinzola took 1 side of the buttsleeve picture to send to me as a prove by misleading me and waited couple more weeks with same B.S. excuses again, finally I had enough of his deceiving excuses one morning when directly to the airport and brought a ticket to Boston, call him 20min before arriving his house he still keeps on lying about the cue is done and ask me if I can come back the next day instead which I refused and told him I am leaving on the same day flight back to NY that when the truth came out the cue is no where near 50% done, show up at his house while his kids and wife at home, I still give his family some respect by not turning on him, went down to his shop to show me the disappointed cue as he made promise he would finish the cue and deliver by July 15, 2013 until today still nothing. As much as he claims he runs an real estate business buying and selling resturants, is all full of shit, this MOFO wants to take people money and thinks is okay because he thinks we cue buyer or collector owe it to him.
Now, I know some of you gonna try to defend this scumbag by saying there always 2 or 3 side to the story, which I don't give a F*#K about, this is my side of the story, I have all the paypal prove and all the text message prove along with the fake tracking number and misleading pic's.

I'm sorry this happened to you. I hate to hear stories like this. It was big of you to not turn on him because his family was there. A lot of people would not have been able to show the same kind of restraint... especially since there was a lot of money involved.

It sounds like if Tony spent the amount of time working on cues that he spends on making up excuses, and misleading people, he might actually finish one now and then.

We are not all best friends going against Tony, We are all in the same boat of situation. you say you know Tony personally, why don't you call him and ask him have I ever disrespected him in anyway or talk to him in any form unhuman. I am willing to buy you and your personal friend a ticket to come see me and face this shit in person and let see if you will see this situation differently about your personal friend. I don't need to lie about this ordeal, like I say you can call him to verified my story. I don't need you to apologize for your friend, the money he owes is really no big deal to me but the recourse will be much higher than what he owes.

Thank you for your concern, I show my respect once and if he decide to slap me on my face, the next time I will not have any respect or mercy. until he comes out of hiding, he just created a situation that he can't handle anymore.
 
I posted a good friends Zinzola here on the forum a while back. The reason he sold it was because there was a slight wobble in the shaft the day it arrived. Zinzola promised him a new shaft for months and months. After close to a year the buyer calls Tony back and asked about the shaft. He kept telling him it would ship next week blah blah. Zinzola finally stop returning messages and would not communicate with the buyer AT ALL. Well a few months after that he asked me to list his cue for him on here. I listed it that morning for him and by lunchtime what do you know? Zinzola returns a call to the owner playing dumb and told him he was sorry that he hasn't returned the call over the past few MONTHS and just wanted to make sure he still had the cue that he was to send the shaft out. Lmao. What a joke. He waits until he sees the post basically and then follows up with his keen customer service playing like he hasn't seen the post that he was sending the shaft right away. He even had the nerve to tell him that I had the cue listed too low after he was told that it was listed on AZ (which Tony already knew) With pi$$ poor customer service like this what would be too low? Tony was hoping that he would tell him not to worry about it now I am selling the cue. He told him that he was still going to send the shaft the next day and here at it another half of a year later and......no shaft. This guy is a piece of work. So he lurks AZ because he calls the DAY the cue was listed. He is probably reading all of the posts now but I would be willing to bet he doesn't post to try to explain himself because he is that sorry.
The buyer told me how I needed to get a cue from him and how he always answered or called back within 10 minutes. It was all praise and good of course until Zinzola got the money. Then the true scum comes out.

Tommie, I hope to be able to meet up with you tomorrow to discuss what is next for Mr. Zinzola. I appreciate you coming forward with all of this info. With all the theories on why and what floating around, it still comes down to the fact that the guy is just a common criminal......he NEEDS to.....and WILL....get dealt with.

The Zinzola Experience

I am personal friends with a well known cue parts supplier to the industry from upstate New York. Zinzola still hasn't paid him the wholesale price of $300.00 for the joint pins he received from my friend over two years ago and will not answer phone calls or respond to e-mails. He can certainly cut down on his overhead when he doesn't pay his suppliers. That's why you won't see him attending any of the tournaments or cue shows,

I think this post is a bit out of line and frankly, pretty immature. Charlie said he liked his cue and it played well. That he wished for a good outcome for all because A) you guys got screwed; B) he's got no reason to hate Tony. He didn't take Tony's side or say anything negative against you.

I get that you're pissed but beig a dick to someone who ISN'T Tony is a bit ridiculous.
 
I started to order a cue from him a few years ago, even though I have rule about paying deposits. Started doing some research, and there was just a bit of subtle negativity towards him then. Was waiting for the Eddie Wheat style posts to come out, and they finally have. Not sure why it took so long.

Very interesting stories.... I was gonna order a 3500 cue several years back. Called him, emailed, spoke, went over specs , and then deposit was needed. I HATE DEPOSITS in 99.9% of cases but there's always that .1% ill make an exemption for. At any rate,he sends me some off the wall link, I had to register on and do all this,what I believe to be complicated and not needed stuff just to order a damn pool cue. Needless to say the site he kept insisting I use to order a cue through made me say screw it,I don't want a cue. I'm glad I went with my gut instincts in this and said if its that hard to order a cue, it must be even harder to actually get one

This is all bullshit.....everyone is inclined to take sides but where the _uck is Zinzola.......??? Tony decides to use Facebook posts instead of dealing with this head-on.......what a cowardly thing to do..........does this guy have any sense of integrity or honesty?

Hey Zinzola, if you're so innocent, come forth and exonerate yourself immediately or pay the price of a creating a shitty reputation as a cue-maker. And please no excuses or bullshit about how this all happened.....just fix the problem and apologize & ask forgiveness from the people you're accused of mistreating.

Any of his dissatisfied customers should contact the American Cuemakers Association and complain in writing about Zinzola, send a copy to the local Better Business Bureau and hand deliver a copy to the local District Attorney's office where a criminal complaint can be lodged for consumer fraud.....this is not a civil matter of a unfilled contract........quid pro quo......Zinzola has to return the money of face consumer charges of fraud which is a felony.

Now none of this has to happen if Tony Zinzola would come forth and truthfully answer his accusers instead of hiding or writing meaningless posts on Facebook...........Tony, the people you are accused of screwing over are here on AZ Forum.......not on Facebook or My Space. Be a man and confront this problem instead of hiding and relying upon others to try defending you.......your approach of hiding isn't working Paison..........stop being a douchebag and fix this problem or risk losing future business........I mean who in their right mind would ever place an order with Zinzola after learning/reading/hearing about how Zinzola screws his clients.

Tony, if you're innocent, you've got nothing to hide or fear so come forth and straighten this out now. But continuing to ignore this problem pretty much confirms you to be guilty as charged.

Well I hate it that Tikkler didn't get the cue he expected. I am having trouble with a builder as well, but that is another story.

I ordered a cue from Zinzola, I got it, and I think it was close to the date promised. I felt it wasn't way out of line.

Overall, I liked the cue. The black paper between the veneers was incredible.

The hit was good, but not great. Overall I was satisfied.

My cue had NO INLAYS, but did have great ringwork on the butt and shaft.

Why did I post? To be fair. Overall I was satisfied with the cue. I traded it quickly after I got it, (that's not new) as I tend to flip cues I am not crazy about.

I hope I get the support that Tikkler gets when I post my cuemaker issues.

IF your comment was directed at me, Ill respond.

AZ is known for piling on. I wanted to share that I had an okay deal with Tony. Would I order another cue from him? No. But if you read this thread you would have gotten the feeling the he never built an acceptable cue, or one on time. I had my experience and he did okay. Was he top notch ? No.

I have an issue with a cuemaker I am waiting on cue on. He took a deposit, promised a date, and that date has come and long gone.

I used to commission a couple cues a year, but all this crap has made it no fun anymore.

There are certain cue buyers and I am not pointing fingers, but I think a couple of them have posted on this thread that do not respect that some folks have paid a deposit, got in line to get a cue and these "bigger" buyers have been moved to the front of the line ahead of us. While I wouldn't wish bad things to happen to anyone, karma sometimes seems to make things right.
