JOHNNY ARCHER apologizes for text to Mike Dechaine

What I love about this thread is it's not REALLY an apology.
It's more of a, "Crap, this made me look really bad", thread.

The apology isn't to Mike, it's for writing the text.
So who is the apology to then? Us? What the hell do we care?

If you're going to offer an apology, offer a heartfelt apology to who you've offended with no, I'm sorry, BUT!

As much as I hate to admit it, you're right. It's only natural, when you don't know someone to associate them with the picture that's on their Signature line on the forum. This isn't fair to you, it's not fair to Shane, it's not fair to Mark Griffin and it's not fair to Simonis and the other sponsors that's on Cleary's signature.

My fault is I don't like seeing my friends picked on, and I know there's more to it, but that's the button I have to deal with, I can't stand to see someone bullied.

A wise man once told me that "If you seek to always sail toward calm waters you will eventually find yourself in a stagnant pond" ......he's right, it's controversy like this that makes the differences and allows positive change in people's lives.....I pray this holds true for Johnny Archer and Cleary.

I'm ok with Johnny AND Cleary and wish both of them the best life has to offer, who knows they may look at at this one day and recognize it all led to positive things .I certainly don't know what the future holds, IT does seem to work in "mysterious ways".

PS: you too Justin, we don't always see "eye to eye" but who knows, one day we may.

I wasn't aware of the time table of events. Maybe he isn't aware he was "caught" on the Keith issue. Obviously it went public the texts he sent to MD so maybe he is sorry he got caught and not genuinely sorry.

I don't know the man personally. I treat people how they treat me and give all a fair shot. I do know this type of person you are describing and usually when they cross my path in life I turn the other cheek and walk away. No time for people like that.

My main point in first post was two things...
1) make reference to my favorite guy Si Robertson.
2) point out that when somebody consumes alcohol they usually make bad judgement calls, as I have my fair share of times, which doesn't necessarily mean they are abusing or an alcoholic..

Because most of them have no lives to begin with and a high percentage dont have the balls to say the derogatory things they say online to someones face, that would invite consequences and i got a good idea how most would handle that, lol.

There you go, proving my point by taking a statement out of context & mis- categorizing that simple statement & distorting it into 'bashing instructors'. I first stated that Mr. Martin was a player & instructor for which I had respect.

If I did not like instructors in general, which is not the case, it would be because of my initial PM interaction with you.

You showed your true colors to me then. I had hoped that maybe you had gone through a revelation & we could move on in a better tone. However you show me here that you have not changed.

Be careful driving to Florida. Maybe that trip with your wife will be a revelation for you.

Great question my friend. If I was to base my answer on what I have seen of your pool playing ability I would have to say NO. What you do really isn't pool its just hitting balls around the table and moving them around ya know:) Just kidding man, hope all I well with you and please send my regards to Butcher Bob an I hope to see him again soon. :)

I'm in the American Rotation League. Just finished their 1st 7 week session, very good chance I'll advance to regionals :). It is an amazing game - 15 ball call shot rotation. I'd strongly encourage people to play it. Just call your shot, if you miss, incoming player can give it back. Alt break. 1 point for balls 1 - 10, 2 points for 11 - 15. Race to 100 points.


Ooops, wrong thread. Let's get back to baking pro's.

Lee, Very unusual behavior for JA. I wasn't there an I didn't see or hear any of it. I will say this though. I have been around JA in a bar/pool room environment MANY MANY times over the past 7-8 years and I have seen him drink maybe 15 drinks in total. These drinks include wine coolers an foo foo chocolate drinks. Now I am not and can't say this never happened AGAIN I was not there. It does seem very out of his norm though. Not defending just saying out of maybe a 1,000 hours in a bar with him and at the most 15 drinks?? don't add up.

I spoke with him for just a minute yesterday and probably based on the obvious he didn't seem very happy. There you go that's my input.
 
This is funny stuff!!! He said she said that he said she said that he said!?!?!? My opinion is this, if mike said something (whatever) to melanie and she got upset over it, then smack him in the face (believe me, he's NOT gonna do anything)!!! If she didnt seize the opportunity to end the bull***t! Shame on her!!! You need to take care of the problem before it gets to big to handle!!! Perfect example, me and mike had an issue a few weeks ago, he got upset at something that he thought I did (whatever) he said some mean things and told me to die on Christmas,,, I got up walked up to him gave him a little push, told him, die on Christmas you say? Let's go outside, I told him!!! He declined end of story!!! You have to seize the moment!!!! Things bother you, get them off your chest!!! Who knows, maybe ill be dead by Christmas:) doc says I got a couple more, so, I'm gonna keep it real!!! And thats what's wrong here,,,, no one is keeping it real!!! Maybe thats why pool is where it is!!! It will never move forward where it should be( not in my lifetime anyway) because of stupid sh*t like this!!! The talent that mike has is unreal, I know this first hand!!! But he let's his emmotions get the best of him, that's why he most likely has reached his peak in his professional pool playing!!! Johnny on the other hand, well, I dont know what's up??? I'm with jam on this one and gonna think he's got some serious personal problems!!! I hope he gets them resolved!!! Best of luck to both, I hope they can settle there differences:)

I literally haven't watched television in weeks. This place is my source of entertainment. There are threads like this one that keeps me coming back for more. Then there are the threads like the one that mimics this one, and those kind of threads have me in stitches. Then there are the individual posters that just tickle the living sh*t out of me, and I am speaking of:

The name-droppers.

The nut-huggers.

The multiple "rack-running machines".

The "I'm right, you're wrong" crowd.

The ones with all the answers to "what's wrong with pool".

The ones who think there's something "wrong" with pool to begin with.

The ones that brag about the amount of money they throw around, as if it grows on trees.

The cue snobs.

The ones that keep a thread argument going for pages because they MUST have the last word.

The trolls and their detractors.

The nits.

The internet "detectives".

The cyber-bullies.

The "pool should be played in a tux" crowd. (not literally, but you know what I mean)

I could go on....but I'm sure y'all get the idea. This forum is entertainment at it's finest, and it's FREE!!!

So....thank goodness this stuff is funny!!!
