Prayer sent
I sent two prayers in case the first one doesn't work.

So let me ask this then-seeing as the Drs acknowledge how you got it- Is all this care on them? In other words-no bills?
MRSA is a serious infection, but it happens all the time. After you get your PICC line, make sure that anytime someone accesses it, that they scrub the access site before hooking up your IV. Also, the dressing should be changed regularly and, most importantly, using sterile technique.
You should look up some info on central line care. You have the right to be infection free, and sadly you have to be vigilant for your own safety. Not all healthcare personnel are as aseptic as they should be.
MRSA is a very nasty infection for sure. Very important that you don't miss doses or stop antibiotic infusions before 8 weeks and before your tests comeback negative. If treatment is stopped too early the MRSA can comeback worse (rebound effect). After you get the pic-line in it would be better if you got infusions at home.
Good luck to you. I'm sure you will be fine in time. Johnnyt
This message goes out to all of my friends on the AZ billiards forum. My cultures from my wounds came back. I found I'm battling a MRSA infection. This is the scariest thing I have ever faced. I go to the infusion center today to have a pic line put in. I'm starting IV antibiotics today I have to do this for a min of 8 weeks. If my friends could pray for me and keep me in their thoughts anything will help. I will keep you all updated with my progress. Thanks again.
Best wishes
